Mmhmmm! It just makes me excited to see how he responds when he finds out that she cared about him a loong time before he got famous and that she may be one of the few people in his life who knew the real him. Ugh! It all makes me excited. They have such a wonderful connection / bond.

The FL’s life as a fangirl is not a prominent part of the show. You see quite a bit of it in the first episode, and then a small amount through flashbacks. It’s not like HPL where she follows the idols around with cameras. Once the murder kicks off, the focus is not on her life as a super fan. It really is not like your typical idol drama.

💯. I can’t wait for her to talk to him about that first meeting. I have high hopes of it being a veerrryy emotional scene.

I was told that they are setting up Raik with Sena :) After the way his ex treated him - like almost running him over in her car and being nasty to him when they broke up a while back… there’s no way that the writers will try to set them back up.

Maybe not irl, but in 12 episodes they kinda have to. I also attribute it to a couple of things- like first off I imagine there’s a huge weight off his shoulders now that he’s not performing and not feeling the pressure of fame and what all he had to lose in order to remain in the industry. Those pressures have been lifted, so the lighter mood makes sense. Despite the legal charges, his life has become a lot quieter. He’s been having more time to hang out and relax at Sena’s house. To go grocery shopping and cook. He has been sleeping better. He hasn’t been drinking as much. He’s living with someone who he believed didn’t know much about him, so the pressure to be the image of the idol that others expected wasn’t there. It’s pretty remarkable how quickly someone can change once they have been taken out of the environment that stunted their growth. I’m a plant lady, so I love using the analogy of growing a plant. If a plant isn’t thriving, you don’t blame the plant. You look at it’s environment and what it’s lacking and what the plant needs. Once you change that plant’s environment and give the plant what it needs, the plant begins look better fairly quickly. Also, he is still depressed 😅He cries a lot during every episode, still struggles with anger, etc.

Oh I 💯get the feeling of betrayal. At this point Raik has been jaded by so-called fans, so maybe after he processes it he’ll find it healing to actually get to know a respectful fan who sincerely wishes the best for him.

Am I the only one who hopes that Raik won’t return to stardom in the end? Maybe like small acoustic gigs here and there, but after all this I hope that he doesn’t go back. Does anyone know if this one has a happy ending for the leads?

Same… I hope that the storytelling continues this strong until the end. Unfortunately, kdramas have a reputation for becoming messy near the end :/ So a part of me isn’t holding my breath.

Yeah, quite a few people didn’t vibe with it. I didn’t mind it at all. I also interpreted her using the ML to help her cope with life, so part of the depression was that the illusion that she created in her mind to cope got fractured with the dating rumors. I have never sunk into a depression over my favorite stars dating, but I do remember using imaginary friends and daydreaming as escapes from “real life” when I was younger. Maybe she used fantasizing about meeting and being in love with the ML to cope with being bullied in school and having her dad accused of murder and consequently executed. I can see through that lens why she would have a strong reaction to his dating rumors - if her escapism and way of coping was fractured because of the rumors. Is it healthy? Nooooooope, but I can make some sense of why she would fall apart by it.

Eh, maybe that isn’t the right word. Endearing because a part of me interpreted that scene as supposing to be satire and jest. I wouldn’t have found it endearing if I thought that scene was supposed to be taken seriously 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yeah and I am also not sure if the drama clarified how long ago the dating rumors happened. She could have been a lot younger and more immature when the dating rumors started. Either way 🤷🏼‍♀️I thought it was endearing and almost meant to be exaggerated and not taken seriously?

I love the FL and don’t understand the hate at all… she’s shaping up to be one of my all time favorites. I get that the depression thing with the dating rumors didn’t vibe with everyone, but I didn’t mind it personally. If I had a face to face encounter with someone who held me back from suicide at the lowest point in my life, who isn’t to say that I could have possibly become an obsessive fan? Also, what is the big deal with her hobby?? She maintains full time work, personal hygiene, pays her bills and does the adulting thing just fine. Who cares how she chooses to spend her free time? Is it really that much different than people who spend hours of their free time buried in fictional dramas, fan fiction, and fangirling over the stars and the romance? Idgi.
