I adored her, too. Seriously though I would have burned the whole place to the ground if I were SJ. Our girl just wants to eat, drink and have a happy life. How dare they lol

First episode is great so far. I’m loving the parallelisms between the main leads. First, the parallel of them getting the similar wounds around their hearts treated, secondly with them undressing and stepping into the hot spring to heal. Very poetic and lovely. Loving the symbolism of their “Fated Hearts”.

Oh I know 😂 I just watched the scene when the doctor was in trouble in the woods, the FL slaughtered all of the ninjas and then the romantic music started playing when the doctor saw the FL for the first time 😂

10 minutes into episode 1- am I supposed to ship the FL and the doctor? 😂 I’m down.

You spoiled a lot of things in your post for people that may still be going through the show.

So I decided that I’m gonna do something that I haven’t done in years - pick up a show before the ending is known. I swear to god if this show does not have a happy ending I’m gonna raaaaage 😤

Episode 12. One of THE most charged scenes in television 🔥 🥵

Hmmm. Absolute favorites Prisoner of Beauty (ML general, FL is an incredibly smart and strategic woman. Arranged marriage trope with love growing after). There is also Legend of the Female General (both the ML and FL are seasoned military fighters). Blossoms in Adversity (ML military man with a progressive FL who leads her family through difficult times when the men in her family were exiled), The Double (ML general with FL seeking revenge), The Rebel Princess (arranged marriage to a ML general who oozes sexy masculinity and is not your conventional pretty boy general. He actually looks older and experienced in battle). You might also like Blossom (ML fighter, cunning FL and they get married early on I think??). There aren’t a lot of shows quite like LLTG.

Ummmm…. You might like Legend of the Female General (both ML and FL are seasoned military members), The Double (another general ML, and female lead is seeking revenge), The Rebel Princess (general ML who oozes masculine energy), or Blossoms in Adversity (ML military man and a progressive woman who leads her family after the men in her family were exiled). You might also like Blossom (Badass ML fighter and a smart and intelligent FL). Wonderland of Love, maybe (both ML and FL are fighters). There isn’t a show quite like LLTG.

Rewatching this one and my god the second act fucking HURTS. “As long as she’s alive, you must endure it.” 💔 Goooosh this angst hits haaaard 💔 🥺The way SJ emotes so much emotion through his EYES. The single tear, the shock, the hurt, the discouragement, the anger and helplessness. Dammit 🥺 💔

Appreciate it, thanks guys! Nothing turns me off from shows faster than annoying love triangles. I drop shows instantly because of them, no matter how much I was enjoying the show otherwise.

Also those KISSES 🔥 Seriously this show doesn’t have an equal. A few other shows come close, maybe, but this one is above them all.

This show was golden. I love how the FL and the ML balanced each other out. Women don’t need to be badass fighters or have the strength of men to hold their own or to be AWESOME characters. I love how the FL was brilliant, kind, cunnung and also soft. She meshed with the ML so well. When her grandfather told her in the beginning - “Defeat hardness with softness” 👌🏻Loved it so so much.

I also just wanna clarify that I have nothing against female characters who are badasses and can fight lol. I just also appreciate the soft femininity having its own magic as well.

I watch it on Viki, so I dunno. The full show is available there 🤷🏼‍♀️

I am about five episodes from finishing it! It’s a good one! I didn’t expect to like it as much as I have been. I kinda wish we had more scenes with the main couple after they finally “got together” (consummated their marriage). It kinda feels like they stopped having as much screen time together shortly after that.

So what is the general verdict on the ML’s redemption arc?

So is there a love triangle at all with the main leads? If so, how annoying is it? Possessive, jealous, sabotaging third wheel(s)? Do the main leads send mixed signals to the love rivals? Thanks in advance :)
