So who here still rewatches the arrow scene? 🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️

The biggest complaints with this show were the last few episodes. It was dumb and unnecessary 🙄Like if they had sown seeds about the empower being uncomfortable with two generals getting romantically involved a lot earlier in the show it would have been different. It should have had more buildup, not just tossed into the last episode without much thought or development. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yeah that was the biggest complaint. The last few episodes were erratic and messy. 🙄Luckily the drama didn’t last too long.

So because of Chinese censorship, they had to be pretty vague about episode 13. From my understanding and from what I have seen from others who have read the novel is that visiting each others Soul Manors is a verrrry intimate act, even more so than sex. But both SJ and Tingyan were in a temporary spiritual purgatory of sorts when she healed his Soul Manor. So in essence, in episode 13 their intimacy was purely spiritual and not actually physical because they were in a purgatory space when it all happened. It is kinda confirmed later on back in their normal world.

Of course he recognized her 🤣 I don’t understand how this is up for debate? That’s the exact same cute knowing smile that he’s been giving her the whole show? And who would ask a stranger “Do you know who I am?” if there was not some sort of mutual recognition there? 😂 I don’t understand how this can be seen as open????

Yeah I remembered later after this post that it did have one, but it was pretty inconsequential if I had forgotten about it. The ML was the cutest little bean during it.

Yes he trusts her fairly quickly as well. Their romance is the best. There are no major misunderstandings, there’s open and honest communication, LOTS OF SKINSHIP / KISSING, and no major love triangles. ❤️

She relies on SJ to be safe a lot the first part of the show until she gains some powers. She trusts SJ fairly quickly and never betrays him.

I really loved that quote from her grandfather in the first episode: “Water is the softest material in the world. Overcome hardness with softness.” ❤️ Love Manman.

I am glad you liked it!! It’s my favorite Asian show. The only minor complaint I have is just wishing that there was more fighting / war scenes on screen. O well.

Everyone mostly plots against the ML and try to use the FL to harm the ML. There are a lot of villains, but most of them are pretty dumb 😂

I picked up this show a bit ago and wooooowww. It’s good! I love the FL and feel so bad for the ML being guilted into all of these marriages with scheming women. And goodness, a (smaller) part of me also feels bad for these women having to live in such a cutthroat world. What a good, complex show so far. I am also getting serious Jane Austen vibes, which I also appreciate.

I finished it last night. I was very confused by all of it. It was kind of a mess, to be honest. O well, onto the next show I suppose.
