quite honestly i have no fucking clue what this show is about. reading the description i'm actually shocked because i didn't get ANY of that. it's a cute show though...up until ep...7? idk bc then i just got so confused. i still dont know what has happened and i have rewatched it multiple times to be like "what the fuck happened to them?" and that extends to their ep of our skyy where i just had 0 clue what i was witnessing. that being said they are so insanely cute and it is honestly nowhere near as bad as other series in its failures in production and acting. i would much rather rewatch this than tharntype or something like that—they're genuinely fucking cute and although there are some moments where i am like ok these actors are 12 please no they did largely respect boundaries i think. this is a show where you can forgive because of the youthfulness and low budget and it was sort of set up to fail. but it still gave us cute puppy love stuff. still tho then he gets like brain injured or sth tbh idk that was dramatique.

i am too lazy to look but i am wondering about the timeline of the series. a lot of shows are working on a tight schedule but particularly in south korea they have CRAMPED filming schedules so i wonder if this is common practice in other countries in asia. additionally many aren't pre-produced and i am pretty sure thailand does this as well so then i assume because of the shooting as you go the schedules are tight. bear with me lol so i want to know the time from when the show came out to the insane popularity and the filming schedules. there's a clear shift at some point and i feel as if real life basically interfered and they got embarrassed. it's not uncommon and you can see it with a lot of things (like DBK) so anyway that's my dumb brain needing an answer on why it got so miserable to witness

pretty sure it's a bunch of things like the actors sheer inability which i can understand to an extent but then i saw do. not. do. this. job. but like i can imagine the first time you are acting or your major breakout role is something that is a more "personal" experience and journey since it's not the norm. that's about as much leeway as i can give them so the fact that they just cannot manage to do their jobs and stir up chemistry bc of embarrassment is both the fault of production and themselves. on top of that thailand also has its own censorship things (and honestly everywhere does! but they ban things a bit more easily than in the US but i'm not sure if they have to go through a committee like in PRC) and exactly what you said about realizing they have an audience particularly mainland china. this is a HUGE factor and has been for years for every major production or major industry genre and it will continue to be bc every single bit of this is about commodity. it's very interesting to think about

thre are quite a few technical errors (i also noticed a typo...sorry lmao) esp with the music and how it fades in but truly that isn't as distracting to me as opposed to others. everything feels like it's not so much a big deal but i don't feel like the conflicts are as dumb as most shows. there's not much friction but for the better to make it an easy relaxing and CUTE AS HELL watch. when the cute girl worker was making the noise with the cat in e4 i was like *_* it's funny and cute and it's different. my complaints about the technical aspects with production are also made up by certain attention to detail or things that you don't often see. i loved the shot where they all look into the camera and the consistency or so it would seem of them breaking the fourth wall. we'll see where it goes but honestly, so far, it's been nice. i would say just super pleasant to enjoy. when i get up on thursday mornings i watch it straight away and it has helped me feel a bit more relaxed during the past couple of weeks when my life has been hell

seo in guk is in this drama called high school king of savvy and it is...one of my favorite dramas. tvn had a good period in time (imo) where there was just spades of quirky dramsa particularly slice of life/romcoms—this was when the channel was really becoming big so some things had less budget or would get canceled early or have low ratings which is why the huge ratings were a big surprise in the beginning for tvn.
anyway i dgress cos adhd but in that story it's really uh interesting lmao explaining it is kind of wacky like in principle i am so against it but it works in that show for several reasons. it isn't perfect but i truly adore it and the couple is one of my favs. i'm gonna rewatch it soon but for me it strikes gold. you can see him in his most natural state in it too like he's really amazing. it's hilarious because i hated him in reply 97 (but shipped his char with the main lead...i recommend it btw! it is extremely flawed but it's what made him more well known) but then i just became such a huge huge fan. also lee soo hyuk is in HSK as well!
