The ML-FL interaction scenes are honestly so iconic that after watching the ultra-sweet first night scene, I actually had to google what other C-dramas this director has worked on because he seems like such a master at romantic scenes.

I don’t know what his background is, but he definitely knows how to maximize Ci Sha’s strengths — from the moment he first appeared in Episode 1 wearing that black cloak with a cold, calculating aura, to now acting all soft and cute in front of the FL.

What an amazing payoff for all of us who stayed for the slow burn.

Even during the proposal scene, the aunt and Gu Grandmother were still questioning what on earth CYY even saw in Gu Jing Zhao, simply because she supposedly doesn’t come from the same level of noble family as him and is “no match” for our ML.

What they completely fail to see is exactly what CYY saw in Gu Jing Zhao all along — her intelligence, sharpness, character, strength that goes far beyond status or family background.
