I always enjoy Chen Yan Yun and Madam Chen’s gossiping and bantering scenes, and this time it was all about convincing his mother to let him marry Gu Jin Zhao.

Madam Chen’s boiling frustration face the moment she realized she was the last person to know was hilarious. But it didn’t take long for Chen Yan Yun to convince her. The moment he admitted that he genuinely liked Gu Jin Zhao and naturally wanted to marry her, Madam Chen softened and let go. And also realized it must have started during the coming of age ceremony….ahhh moms know best.

How the ML character was written but not the FLs plus even after they got together it still feels like there is a wall between them.

I love his eyes in the carriage especially when he suggested he can fix the on going rumor issue with an official marriage proposal then he went on to blink after being turned down.
