Disappointed. If what I learn about the novel is true, then I am not going to read the novel. I don't even like the pairing Xiao Fan and Xue Qi (wtf....). Did the writers hit their head? You don't have Xiao Fan do whatever it takes to revive Bi Yao and then have that kind of change of heart... At the end of Season 2, In my mind, Bi Yao woke up and they live happily ever after.....
Is the airing date pushed back for the next episode? Why is there no episode from 26-29 Mar? Sorry if this was asked, haven't been on this page checking these past few days.
I think there are more side couple relationships coming up.
Sincere when it comes to love. I know she loves Changyi later, but I didn't like that she was using "love" to mislead and deceive Changyi to have him believe that she likes him (romantically), and this is not sincere, but a deception, because she wanted to gain San Yue's and Li Shu's trust to help her with her plans to escape.
This never happened in the novel, so I like that about her character better, because I didn't like how she told him/mislead him about the whole "love" thingy (and I already made that in another post/comment) previously about how I feel.
I know why she did what she did, but in comparison to the Novel her, she never lied/used Changyi on her end, she was sincere in that area where all she wanted was to get him out of there.
Don't misunderstand, I do like her in the drama, and understand why she did what she did, but I like her portrayal in the novel in that area better.

Sincere when it comes to in the novel, she never used love to deceive Changyi and used Changyi and lie to him when he asked her why she is so nice to him, she said "It's because she I like you". She intended for him to misunderstood because she was using him to gain San Yue and Li Shu's trust to help her with her plans.

I am reading the novel on my end, and in the drama, they had more screen time; so I actually really like them, and I can feel how much they love each other too, it's just sad that it ends in tragedy.
To be honest, now having read the novel, I do have to say I love Ji Yun character in the novel better, since she's more sincere; because she never deceive Changyi about love, when compared to the drama portrayal of her. With that all said I still love Ji Yun He and Changyi on my end in the drama, so I am rooting for a happy ending for them. But
I actually like the pairing San Yue and Li Shu, hope that pairing won't die on me, but I got to say I was really worried for Li Shu in episode 6 though...
I have not read the novel, but let me just say this. This is how the story is written. How do I know, since I…
In Chinese / Taiwanese dramas, they tend to use the word "喜歡" (like) instead of "愛"(love). In that context of the situation/scene, when she said "我喜歡你", she intended for him to think/believe it's in a romantic context, not "like" as in liking you as a friend. He took that as her confession to him that she likes him romantically, and she intended for him to misunderstood, so she can proceed with her plan.
I am not saying I suddenly hate her character for this, ofcourse I understand why she did it, but I just felt bad for Changyi because he's so innocent, that he actually believed her, and I saw in the clips how much he's hurt later on when he found out it was a lie and she never "like" him. I just wish that she never said that to him, and have him misunderstood her "like" (sincerity) like this when it comes to love. If the novel didn't have that scene, than I am glad to know, wish the drama followed that part though.
Don't get me wrong, I am interested in the story, but just that scene, I wish it was done differently.

In Episode 3-4, I understand what they're saying, so I will tell you that she is deceiving Changyi when he asks her why she is so nice to him, she said.... "It's because I like you", which she shouldn't have done that, because if she were to be honest with him, then I do believe that he will help her because they both wanted to get out of there. I just didn't think deceiving him and make him think she "loves" him is right because you should never use something beautiful such as love to hurt others. It will ultimately hurt that person, and you in the end.
Why she have to lie to Changyi that she loves him? Because she wanted to make alliance with San Yue, so she will her Changyi in achieving her ultimate goal (her freedom), but first she needs San Yue to believe her when she said she won't leak their (San Yue and Li Shu relationship out). So Yun He have to make him fall in love, or make it seem like they (Yun He and Changyi ) are in love in front of them (San Yue and Li Shu).
Ofcourse I know that ultimately Yun He will feel regret, and hurt later and didn't want to hurt Changyi, but the moment she deceived him, instead of being honest with him, was the moment that will ultimately hurt Changyi when he finds out later that it was all a lie/false; so if he hates Changyi or have trouble believing in her words later on, I don't blame him, since right now (in the past) everytime he opens up his heart to believe her, each time, she disappointed him. Sad really.

I know, I just wish she didn't use "love" to deceive him since that kinda crossed the line for me, since he's going to be hurt very much later when he realised its all a lie/deception. This is how I see it, I wouldn't blame if he ends up hating her for that though (but at the same times still loves her deep down), the angst, but still rooting for a happy ending in the drama.
As much as I love this drama now, I have to say I don't like how Yun He is deceiving Chang Yi; if she were more honest with him and not use him like that, would have been better. If Chang Yi no longer trust her later, or have trouble trusting her, I don't blame him, because in the past, every time he puts his heart/open up his heart to trust her, it ends in disappointment
Honestly the whole 'Black to white, to black to white, to black to white' hair didn't really make sense to me.
I mean; the first time we saw Su Mo's hair turned white, he went into his chamber(room) by himself, and fainted, hair turned right...
The second time, when his hair was black again, and then he had that meeting with everyone saying he will relinquish his title as the Sea Emperor... And then he talked to Yanxi in his room, his hair was black then, and then turned white later (in the process), maybe that was a flashback to Yanxi and how he relinquish his title... Afterwards, we saw him stating his wish was to turned to 'rain'.... (why!!!) and then we saw his body fading..... So...
How did Su Mo go to Bai Ying again?? Because. the THIRD time was when he went to Bai Ying... at the bridge, where his hair was black again, and then they were together for a while, they hugged and then his hair turned white...
Honestly, I wish the sequence was done better so it made more sense... I am trying to figure out which scenes goes first...
But NGL, I DID cried again in the final episode, why tf did I have to watch the final episode again 😭😭

I just hope Part 2 will be release right after Part 1 and we don't have to wait around 1 year for that.
This drama (The Blue Whisper) is better than Ashes of Love though
