In the entire drama, they only got like 3 kiss scenes (on the lips) if I recall. I wanted more though, too bad :(

That all aside, this is still among my favourite drama~!

Well, at least we got that in episode 48 where Yuan Qi called him father, not once but 3 times (and 1 more time after he left) T^T But still would have been nice to have a family reunion of the 3 to show their bliss before the ending rolls T^T

I rewatched from the beginning for 3 times now lol

I actually have a alot, but the one that stands out to me the most right now is ep 48, when we get a father-son moment between Bai Jue and Yuan Qi, since that scene was so touching to me and I did cried from it on my end. It's something I always wanted to see (a father-son moment) before the finale and I'm glad I got that at least.

Most definitely! His second life actually bump his character up for me and made me love him so much hahaha.

Oh that part, how he was so satisfied with winning an argument on Qing Mu was cute haha. Because he never won against Bai Jue before XDD.

I also love the scene when he congratulated Bai Jue in being a father, that was w very nice moment IMO, because just when everyone misunderstood him, Tian Qi can still say something to give him that emotional support T ^ T

I have no doubt the three of them must be close before Shang Gu was born, I mean, they afterall know an embarrassing moment of Bai Jue when he was young. Too bad we never get to hear the full details of it lol XD but Tian Qi confirmed if its leaked, Bai Jue will be humiliated in the three realms lol and he made them swore to never reveal or mention that again lol. God, these trio is definitely loveable!

You know... I will even be happy for an extended scene where Yuan Qi ran up to his parents and hugged Bai Jue also and welcome him back and Bai Jue held him in his arms and the three of them get their family reunion on screen and a happy family bliss. Just something like that I would have been content... but nope..

That is true. Yeah we do see that, although in the beginning it is more showing that he didn't like Bai Jue because he loves Shang Gu. I mean I can see they're close at the beginning too and they both care for each other, even the part when Bai Jue have to "kill" Tian Qi to stop him, he expresses sadness in him.

But what I love and really make me love Tian Qi's bromance with Bai Jue(from his side) is in the second arc, 60,000 years later, because Tian Qi expresses he was disappointed in Bai Jue and "hate" him for not believing in him back then, and he said all these about him, but when Zi Han joins in, he told him to be more respectful to Bai Jue since he's a True God etc, even when he was just agreeing with Tian Qi but lol, Tian Qi reply was "I'm allow to say this, you're not", I like that subtlety that he doesn't like when others talk badly of Bai Jue, its endearing looking at it from his pov. Like he says he hates Bai Jue, but deep down he doesn't because he cares, even in the final episode when Bai Jue is gone, Tian Qi was going through the documents, and when he and Zhi Yang had that talk, and how Zhi Yang compared Dong Hua to be similar to Bai Jue from back then, Tian Qi didn't agree with it, because to him, no one can be/replace Bai Jue's character to him. And I love that. That scene was nice because it shows they both misses Bai Jue and said how good it will be if he's still here.

Haha I just realised it seems like fun XD 😆 so will be doing that from now on.

I enjoyed their bromance too and yup those episodes in the beginning was nice. I will always go back and rewatch it. But between Tian Qi and Bai Jue, its a long journey for them from the beginning, because they became closer than they did before. I also appreciate that in the drama, Tian Qi was there for Bai Jue to give him the emotional support, as someone who understands him, its very nice to see and appreciative, since the novel was more sad for Bai Jue since he was truly alone and Tian Qi didn't find out until just before Bai Jue sacrifice himself T.T

Have fun watching FIYS haha. I am planning to rewatch that too to balance my emotions right now.

I haven't put any dramas on my watch list before, but I guess I will start doing it, starting with ALP!

I am not denying that there are people in here who is happy with that ending. For me personally, I do appreciate its a happy ending, but they deserve a better ending in a more fulfilling note IMO

That's why it is not satisfying. They deserve an extended scene after all the heart aches and pain. She literally waited for him 503 years!! And over 60,000 years just for both of them to get their happy ending, to have it stripped of an extended scene where he only came back in the last 2 minutes and he said "Shang Gu, I am Bai Jue", they hug and the end 😭 dont get me wrong, I love the hug, but to have it end like that was unfulfilling to me

That unsatisfied feeling is mutual. Me at that scene and the ending (lol)

I was just watching that, well... ending again, before Bai Jue came back, Tian Qi said to Shang Gu that even if he comes back, he may not have his past memories, and then Shang Gu replied Tian Qi saying "That's okay if he doesn't, as long as I remember him, that's good enough".

And then when Bai Jue finally came back, I think Shang Gu already prepared that Bai Jue don't have his past memories, although she still wanted to confirm her suspicion when she asked him:
"You are Qing Mu?"

When Bai Jue expresses no to her question, she proceed to ask:

"You are Bo Xuan"?

Because what she wanted, the one to return to her is Bai Jue, but is afraid that if she asked the question she will not get the answer that she wanted, that's why after she said "You are Boxuan", and Bai Jue expresses no to her question, and he said "Shang Gu", and then you can see Shang Gu's reaction to him calling out her name, although it was a subtle reaction from Shang Gu, but him calling out Shang Gu shows her that he have his past memories, and then he said "I am Bai Jue", Shang Gu couldn't hold back anymore and ran to him to hug him tight. I do love the part when Bai Jue open his arms to welcome her into his hug/embrace, that was nice. Anyways that's how I see it.

Still wish and prefer to have an extended moment after this though...

Same :( He did express sadness, although not to the way I have hoped it would be. I will just imagine Yuan Qi did cried off screen....but he needs to stay strong because he made a promise(some what like that), that he will look after his mother or something. And not to mention Bai Jue giving Yuan Qi that talk and insight about "death"(like any parent would teach their child), i.e. when that time comes, to not feel sad about it or something, since Bai Jue didn't want Yuan Qi to feel sad (if he ever finds out one day) that he died

I don't think we are the only one. I know of another friend who shared the same feeling about ep 49 and being disappointed with the ending.

I have the screen writer to thank for that, and Tian Qi to thank for that in the story, because he was the one who suggested it to Bai Jue, so he won't have any regrets, their bromance have really come a long way, love them too haha.

And yes, when Yuan Qi refused to call him father I was saying the same thing too, honestly originally I will be happy if Yuan Qi said it once, but he said it 3 times, that really touched me, and I have the screen writers for giving us this moment. Without it, I will seriously be bitter for life because I didn't get any Bai Jue and Yuan Qi (father and son) moments 😭😭

As for Xu Kai's drama, you can try out this modern drama which recently finished airing 'Falling into your Smile', because I love him in that one also.

And yes, a pair needs to get along to have good chemistry

When Bai Jue "doesn't have to be" he can be quite sweet as well, as we can all see by now.

I want to watch more Xu Kai dramas!! I guess I shall go and search his profile. I know there's a new one with him and Yang Mi though. Am looking forward to that one
