That’s what I did. Felt that FL is making use or treating ML as a backup and always on lookout for someone better (looking) before realising no one can put up with her attitude/character except for him.
To be fair I skipped all the middle and just went to last episode for closure.
If only they show what she does for him too in the front part to even things out a bit.

Thanks for the spoiler. The drama was moving too slowly for me and both male and female lead was boring me to tears. I’m watching for the uncle and dreading he’ll turn evil.

I find the middle episodes draggy and the couples are wishy washy too but I think it reflects well how (first) relationship develops when I was in my early 20’s. Just that in this modern era the younger generation progress at a higher speed.

The way she’s eating her snacks while watching or eavesdropping on the couple shamelessly is really funny. Really as if she’s watching romantic scene of a drama.

I just started watching this drama because of Seven Tan (after Go Ahead).
This stalker Lin Zi/James Lin gives off the same vibe as the hateful guy in Love and Redemption who keeps saying ‘It’s all for the three realms’. Every time he comes on screen I feel like punching him in the face.

I agree wholeheartedly. From his narcissism and haughtiness to the way he raises his butt in his ridiculously funny love dance totally seems like what my cat will be if it turns human.

Will only watch for Zhao Lusi. Watched the male lead in another drama and don’t quite like his acting.

Same feeling her - so depressing to see mostly useless people live. And with the way it ends another of my favourite character Scarface is actually the villain who took his form.

With a toxic mother like that where you must always be on your toes in case she tries to commit suicide, not many can be normal unless they can totally detach themselves and be heartless enough not to care if she lives or die. Only the thoughts of JJ kept him going. I do wish he's more selfish as his mother doesn't deserve any filial children by her side at all.

I also dislike her intensely but wished that it ended with her going back to Singapore (or any hole she crept out from) and before that, come to realise she needs to get professional help in order stop causing emotional abuse to her 2 children, especially LX. The part where LX ask her why she doesn't love him should be a wake-up slap for her, but sadly the selfish woman is still the same. That kind of ending would be better than her suddenly 'waking up' after reading an article by JJ. At least it would mean she'll try to make an effort to get better.

I was also thinking it'll be funny as in you date my sis I date yours. But somehow, I think if it should happen, maybe in S2 and the age gap would be something for them to overcome esp ZQ. I think Little Orange would be the one to pursue ZQ.

I love the little badass JJ with missing teeth. Sad for ZQ the way JJ treated him but she made up for it by being with him when other cruel kids say he's a burden (shown later). The times she repeatedly threw his luggage bag out was really funny though ZQ is pitiful then.

Yes. A brother wouldn't notice his sister needs to wear a bra before the father does. For those who still feel it's incest probably didn't catch all these little thoughtful actions by LX so should re-watch carefully.

I dislike the annoying Little Orange at first but grew to love her. With a toxic mother like that it's a wonder LX did not turn to drugs and Little Orange a wild girl. She had to speak up for herself or she will turn into a mental nutcase like her brother. Her toxic mum was the reason why she's desperately holding on to her brother and why she's always so defensive and thinks the worst of others.

I tried watching Love Designer because I love Raba but really dislike the ML cos I think he's an ass. Maybe it's just me - I like strong FL but prefer strong ML who can make the strong FL feel she may not need anyone but can always depend on him, then slowly falls in love with him. Sadly, I dislike most of Raba's drama ML and really hope there's a drama where the ML knows from beginning that she's the one for him. But that's just me. Hopefully her upcoming drama with Yang Yang fulfills my criteria though I read synopsis that Yang Yang's character rejected her twice during high school or something.

I hate the vile woman. But don't drop because of her. Just think of her as a good actress in portraying her part. It'll make it a bit easier though you'll be ranting while watching.

Well said. I second this. I put off watching because of the comments made by a few regarding incestuous relationship. Glad that some, like you have defended the drama and hence I decided to give it a try. No regrets watching this heartwarming series.
