For me, the 3 best BL kissing scenes of all times… Heck! 3 among my top 5 favorite kissing scenes in DramaLand. #1 We Best Love: Fighting Mr. 2nd (Zhou Shu Yi and Gao Shi De) #2 Why R U? (Tutor and Fighter) #3 HIStory3: Make Our Days Count (Xiang Hao Ting and Yu Xi Gu)
*Their kissing scenes were stunningly directed. Both counterparts were completely immersed in the scenes. They were both giver and receiver, simultaneously. Then, the kiss itself became genuine. I call those kinds of well directed and well played kissing scenes… “A vise-versa counterattack kissing scene.”
Oh Snap! Billkin might need a larger entourage of bodyguards… After the airing of this episode.
Oh is showing more and more his own individuality and his own identity… Whether, we the audience, like it or not. However, his character has still preserved that inner innocence about him. And Teh is still searching for that self-epicenter… That self-affirmation… These flaws do not necessarily make him the villain; to me, these make his character more human, more complexed and more authentic.
Once again, the subtle nuances in the writing are impeccable.
Aside from all of the propagandas and all of the military slogans… This entire production was much better than I anticipated. I can not get over on how well this is written. The storylines were infuriating, they were amusing, they were emotional… This was a very insightful production. And the entire cast, from A to Z, did a fantastic job.
The only thing that I did not like was the texture of the images… It looked more like some low-budget, c-rated productions. However, with the well-written quality of the storylines and the great acting skills from the entire cast; that was easily overlooked.
Fyi: I have not seen Li Yi Feng that relaxed and that natural since Sparrow. Now, if we could get the English subtitles for Fearless Whispers for which I have only read raved reviews… That would be just perfect. The next drama with Li Yi Feng, one of the most anticipated upcoming Xianxia this year, is Mirror: Twin Cities.

The writing behind her character does not make any sense, at all. I am asking myself if she is a doctor or a tourist on vacation…? She is just a resident doctor, not even a fellow yet. But she is so annoyingly talkative.

I have been dropping Johnny’s dramas left and right… So this one… I was expecting something better because he is pretty good at playing military roles; however, this is tough. I don’t know if I want to go into episode 2. The writing and the directing are so juvenile and so pedestrian.
Wowww! That was a rough first episode. From A to Z… That was rough. The thing that I am most confused about is Li Qin. She is a much better actress than this… What the hell is going on here? Yes, Johnny is hot but his hotness can not cover the bad script, the bad writing, the bad actors, the bad directing… Oh, did I forget something else? Good grief!
My number 1 pet-peeve about first male leads in historical dramas; specifically with Wuxia, Xianxia and Xuanhuan storylines is… A male lead without any martial art skills. - I could take that Mei Changsu/Su Zhe/Lin Shu, in Nirvana in Fire season 1, could no longer practice them due to the poisoning that resulted to his chronic illness. - I could take that Jian Bu Zhi, in Ancient Detective, could not remember his intense training due to the fact that he was suffering from amnesia. That is pretty much, my limit. A male lead (Could be intelligent, a brainiac, a maverick in strategy and in political affairs or whatnot); however, without those essential martial skills… My interest in that specific character is already dropping, down to 50%. I love my first leading males to have both brains and brawn like, Fan Xian/Fan Shen in Joy of Life and Ashile Sun in The Long Ballad.
So to conclude, I really hope that Prince An/Xiao JinYu, here, is simply hiding his skills. Because my interest is tragically dropping…
I dropped it at episode 4 because all the characters/actors felt so bland especially the doctor. I wanted to shake…
Me too… No, seriously after 4 episodes… I can’t continue. The ridiculous and comical mustache on her father’s face was my limit.
Neo Hou as Jiang Shuo and Xiao Xu as Sergeant Bai Kai are not that bad; however, the rest of the cast is very hard to swallow. This is the third drama that I am dropping with Neo Hou as the male lead. This kid just doesn’t have any luck with me.
Mm-hmm… I still think Zhanyan deserved immortality, probably more than most of those deities in Penglai. The second part was ok; however, I loved the first part better, up to their return from the Abyss.
PS: I am still looking for that instrumental musical piece (Entering OST) on this drama… If anyone has any clue?
Let’s be clear about one thing… This 1 hour and 6 minutes of broadcasting is unbearably not enough, to satisfy my craving. This new director is doing a great job at making us, the viewers, yearning and longing for more at the end of each episode. Stunning directing! Also the writings behind each of the characters are undeniably more complex than your average Thai BL storylines!
PS: My claws are all out, ready to strike this Jai’s character… How shameful of you; inconspicuously hitting on someone else’s man while you know that they are having internal issues? Despicable!
"Would I be jinxing it if I ask for a season 2 since Lee Je Hoon does not seem to like making sequels?" Haha,…
Nope! That was pure concern. I have always enjoyed Lee Je Hoo’s projects... But I never paid any further attention to the BTS stories other than watching his cinematographic releases. Therefore, I had no clues that he wanted sequels...
But Prodigy Healer was a hot mess.
LOL
I think at one point… I said, WOW… I have no words.

They were trying to intubate a patient without a laryngoscope…
How they visually manage to identify the vocal cords… Is beyond me.
We can already see that the writer(s) is a novice.

He has the brains but he is missing the brawn.

This year, the next and most anticipated Thai BL drama after I Promised You the Moon has to be KinnPorsche.

That is a mighty categorical statement. I love that.
