I just can't pick that one up again, 7 eps in I was bored enough. What were they even thinking when coming up with that ..."plot" ? But that's a big word for it, it's just characters doing things here and there...slowly and on repeat.
Also couldn't catch good chemistry between Dylan and Bai Lu and I like the both but this is just not it. Why big names choose such low quality dramas? They wanted to feed off of each other's popularity maybe. I don't know, it's not for me

What is with this chemistry and sexual tension?? These actors better than most idols these days, omg

Something unrelated to the drama but can someone tell what is the next big Xianxia drama we can expect this year, perhaps? I'm starting to miss those because we haven't had one in a while

That powerful scene of XW basically destroying ZZ , so satisfying! ZZ a good person but this is not enough - XW sees through everybody's weaknesses, just speaking straight raw truth. Loved it! I could here the slap without it actually happening lol ZZ better control his curiosity and audacity both in the politics and romance. Him trying to make it out as XW is colluding with the rebels in a way showed justice is not always defined by the most obviously rightful people.

He is literally the best thing about this drama. ZLH, bravo, didnt expect this - he was good in MJTY but not that good.

Also, he is the most well done and i teresti g character in the story, so characterization on point , too. Love them complex characters that are as mysterious as are fleshed out and forward with who they are and what they want.

What has ultimately happened is that she's no longer the main storyteller of this story, it has become bigger than her and that's only normal. XW basically took her spotlight because let's be honest - he has the more interesting past and storyline and hers remained the journey of helping people she wronged while the main big political plotlines are all about XW and not her.

She feels like the onlooker of the actual protagonist and of main events happening, not always an active part. Especially not in the last few episodes.
Im beginning to think that, maybe unfortunately, writer used her as a means to tell the story of the political strife in the country and the revenge of XW. As I said earlier, past episodes would even be better without her, she was needed only for "romantic" tension, didnt feel at all as a main character.

So Writers themselves didnt follow the premise of the story that much. That makes for me XW quite interesting but unfortunately her - more boring, she was a promising and original character in first eps but now not so much
Core idea is one thing, what eventually the plot looks like - another.

ZZ doesnt love her in a romantic way, for me this is definitely one sided and she imagines things be ause she lives in the past, delulu is not the solulu here. Time for her to grow up and mature

Currently, I think both men are too good for her :)

Got a whole army(that's not hers to command)to the mountains where they're not familiar with the terrain (and didnt know of fhe gunpowder even) just for him, risking so many lives
She saw all those people of XW everywhere she goes but instead of thinking of the possibility that he has a plan(like all the plans they had before in which she even took part in) and something's going on, she thinks that first thing in the morning for him is killing ZZ
She used to be perceptive and smart but I guess plot needed her to act emotional and illogical and she just had to. Very childish and even out of character

FLs are made to make the same kind of mistakes ..always...the "romance" mistakes. Her making morally grey(and black) moves in the past as a queen were more original for a FL than the new JXN that is blindly obsessed with someone - this is honestly cliche and if something is offending for women in Asian dramas I think this is one of the tropes that can be.we have seen it over and over, as if all women think about is men even in times of war.
Mistakes okay but this is getting repetitive and predictable and acts as a way to make her childish, isnt it sus that is exactly this way - the easily swept up by romantic fabtasies young girl? Her beeing greedy in past life is more original and is actually a new thing for me to see

I want to know and watch more about Xie Wei's story, Ning'er and her "love interests" don't i terest me in the slightest, it's just not giving to the plot. I don't like immature characters anyways, how they gonna make the romance with them(main leads), we're probably in for him making some moves and her being "but you're not ZZ but why I'm here with you when you're not my type but yet I like you, maybe?" And him being angry...
Ugh, just cut it, too late in the drama for that back and forth play, if they have done it earlier it would have been better but now the ZZ delulu crushing gave me ebough glimpses of JXN "in love" - I dont want to see it anymore.
And if they're gonna eventually have romance, who knows if we would have time for that, we're in for a lot of quaralling...again, like how it's been up until now. Ugh...characters used to be too good for that

Ning'er recently gets on my nerves, I hope that second lead "romance" or whatever is over. She has this naive obsession with ZZ when much more serious things are happening she's yet again in her own little delusional world. While she's smart she definitely hasnt matured, totally annoying and delulu

I love Hae Na and Yul interactions!! Yul is such a good booyy ahah, I love how he takes care of his doggy teacher and is truly trying to help and support her crazy snenanigans with no questions asked. Why aren't all teens so thoughtful and kind?!?!?
In next ep it seems her parents would asume he is her boyfriend??? Omg ahahaha that would be so much fun

Oh poor actor that gets paid to do this and chose on his own this career path that has always been open to critique due to its public nature and media presence

The end of the show is for a whole review of the rhe drama, up untill then this forum gives us the opportunity to comment on the aired episodes which are part of the drama and its logic, plot, world building..they are its building blocks and 6 eps in is e ough to give some opinions and discuss it just fine.
I dont need to wait for it to be over to make guesses and make valid points about what is already aired so I dont really agree with your point of view that only rhe final reveals everything when the little pieces up to it are what makes it a quality watch or not
What I do need though is for people to not tell me in such a personal way what I need, it comes off as condescending and arrogant and I never tell other people what they personally need, want or whatever. Good manners above everything
