this is not true? moon gayoung, kim sohyun, kim yoojung, kim saeron have all acted with men 10-12 years older than them. here the age difference is barely 6 years. while there are a lot of dramas with older female leads, it's by no means "always" like this, or any more often than much much much older male leads vs the female leads.

just because you don't like how they're revealing and developing the romance doesn't mean there's something wrong with the writing, though? it doesn't have to be plain and developed in the same way that every or most kdramas do it. don't get me wrong, i'm not the biggest fan of this drama either, but just because the story doesn't go how you want it to doesn't mean it's bad or there are problems with it.

i mean, her personality is obviously due to a very poor upbringing like, for some reason she hates her dad even tho it was her mom who made another family? but also, her aunts shouldn't contribute to the hatred this kid is building inside, and instead should explain her in some kind of way what happened and that she shouldn't hold negative feelings towards her mom (in a way that it doesn't look like she's too forgiving either, you know?). but it all just screams terrible parenting, which explains why she's so annoying, and her dad doesn't even dare to talk to her once so what can we expect.

i agree, i was actually very confused with the last 1.5 minutes of this ep. i don't understand if there's a time skip where mr. gu is dressed in his boss clothes, or if it's a flashback, though his hair being down hints it's not from when he was a boss? and what is that running scene supposed to be about? that ending felt anticlimactic tbh, but i hope they fix it with the next eps. this drama makes me have faith in the writers so i will hold onto the hope.

i honestly don't know which sibling i love the most: mijeong is totally relatable as i'm an introvert too, so i connect with her the most. but i'm also not as introspective as her, so i can connect with gijeong as well and her way of coping, as well as her will to improve herself (same as with mijeong); but then again, chanhee is so fvcking funny and relatable too, and says the wisest things in the most random way that you can't help but to love him too.
of course, i am also head-over-hills for mr. gu and i can't wait to learn more about him and root for his happiness and wholeness (with mijeong pls), but i also root for every other character here just as much.
doohwan is so funny too, and i absolutely love his friendship with chanhee. like doohwan is on the softer side so you know he cares for chanhee a lot, but you can tell chanhee cares for doohwan just as much in how much he tries to cheer him up or simply listen to his concerns.
this drama portrays family, friendship and romantic love in such a unique and amazing way that you can't just not enjoy every second and every scene, no matter which character is on the spotlight at the moment. it's truly such a gem and rapidly becoming not only one of my fav 2022 but also one of my all-time favorite dramas.
