unpopular opinion but i really like crazy nonsensical shows/movies so this was pretty exciting for me. yes, it made zero sense and literally not a single question was answered, so unless we get a second season then this was all obviously very pointless. however, i still really liked how crazy it was. the acting was superb and CGI was really good. you can tell this is a disney+ production bc of how much budget everything showed. i'll find it really thrilling if we get a s2, which we should, and obv i will have to rewatch s1 for that.
i'm so glad kangjoon got to do this work and hope to get much more of it. also if we get a tiny bit of romance between him and saebyeok i'd love it x10 more (idc if she has a baby with another man ok, it was obv a one-night stand and a mistake!) jk.

I guess they cast Min Ha to have her act together with Kim Woo Bin, for sensation. And also because the success…
this comment is literally so disrespectful. why are you undermining minha's own career as if her fame came off being woobin's girlfriend? she's a successful actress of her own and was casted on her own. and even if she decided to act alongside woobin, it's not "for sensation", or like if she's an accessory to carry around where woobin goes.

Title Tomorrow Spoiler
I was so confused on this. They saved a person from death and the future wasn't changed?jaesoons father didn't…
i don't think you understand how predestined timelines work. jaesoo said his father died a long time ago in that conversation with junwoong, but it doesn't mean 1) he died of suicide, or 2) he died that night. jaesoo told junwoong that his happiest memory was having chicken with his dad on his birthday, that's how junwoong knew when exactly to travel to the past - jaesoo's 6th birthday. junwoong didn't know the circumstances, but he knew jaesoo had chicken with his father that day. this means that jaesoo's father didn't die on his birthday (the night they traveled). we know he was going to crash himself against that truck and try to kill himself, but he was stopped in the past by the future junwoong and gooryeon. this means that their traveling to the past and doing that was either way what happened to jaesoo's family: present jaesoo would want to kill himself after failing, junwoong and gooryeon would have to travel to the past to save his dad that day, get the chicken, and save present jaesoo. maybe not everything in the drama is, but this specifical situation was always supposed to happen like that. there are many time-travel theories, while most of them focus on how changing the past affects (generally) negatively the future, there are also theories that show that the changes of the past produced due to time-traveling were always supposed to happen. the director knew that gooryeon would need to travel to the past, which is why she allowed it. ryeonggoo had mentioned that traveling to the past had been banned for a long time, yet the director agreed to it. it means that it was supposed to happen either way, and even tho it was supposed to happen, the director needed to punish gooryeon.
about the quote - gooryeon wrote that quote and jaesoo's father read it out loud, which explains why jaesoo said it was his father who said it. it's ridiculous to think jaesoo's father might have said it another time before that day because it's pretty obvious that the one who said it first to his father was gooryeon, meaning that in the 'original past', junwoong and gooryeon still went back, prevented jaesoo's father's suicide that night, and the father learned the quote there. this all shows that junwoong and gooryeon had to travel tor the past for everything to work out how it 'originally' did.
jaesoo's father died, as jaesoo himself said, but not that night, and we don't know if it was of suicide or what else. but he definitely did not die that night.
the only thing that isn't right is that they took the photo with junwoong's dad instead, but while most time-travel theories will argue that even the flight of a butterfly can change the future, it might not always be like that, and small actions might just stay as small actions, without much effect.it is a bit complicated, but just because plot lines are complicated it doesn't mean the drama is not good, or that it's messy.

i absolutely don't understand why this got so many negative reviews. i couldn't watch it while it aired so i didn't keep up with the viewers' opinions, and now that i finished and came here to see the reviews i'm surprised with how many are negative. i don't think it deserves all the negativity, and definitely do not understand the hate towards cha mijo. i personally have a few issues with the writing and how some things felt unfinished, but i don't think it's worth so much hate. it was a beautiful story told in a beautiful way. i thought i wouldn't enjoy it a lot and would end up watching it speeded up, but i actually bingewatched it pretty fast and didn't skip or speed up anything. i laughed and cried while watching it, was invested in the characters and loved the cast, so i enjoyed this drama a lot. would definitely recommend it.
my one big issue that i can't not mention, like everyone else, is the disappointment regarding joohee's character. she felt like a side character and even some side characters seemed to have more screen time than her. it's such a shame that he didn't get to see more of her and hyeonju.

took my words off my mouth! and the point with the ending is that it was so nonsensical that it didn't even make me cry. i love me some good sad drama that wrecks me up for weeks (the red sleeve, snowdrop, from the most recent ones), so even if they didn't end up together i would have accepted it if the writers did a proper job. but it wasn't even a sad ending - it was just bad. the actions didn't fit the leads' personalities, the reason for the breakup didn't fit the deep bond and type of relationship they had, the build-up just didn't make sense at all. i finished this 2 days ago and am still bitter every time i think about it. it really felt like a slap in the face.
On Forecasting Love and Weather Apr 4, 2022
i watched this in 1.5x since ep 8-9 and the last 3 eps in 2x lol. the drama was just not interesting and we didn't get much going on with the leads, side stories, theme... anything. there's absolutely nothing memorable in this drama. i only liked assistant shin and taekyung's relationship, but they got like one scene every ep except for the last one; and forecaster um and his relationship with his daughter. other than that, the characters were boring and uninteresting. they really meant nothing. this drama was so boring lol.

absolutely agree.
On Twenty Five Twenty One Apr 3, 2022
man this ending was a load of sh!t. not because they didn't end up together - ofc that adds to my disappointment - but i expected a proper reason for a breakup at least. the writer gave us one of the most beautiful relationships ever in kdramaland, where communication and understanding was key, but suddenly they added a very random external situation that the leads handled in the most out of character way, and just left it at that. they didn't even tell us one of the most important things for the viewers: who is heedo's husband. they didn't show us yijin in the present, as if he didn't matter anymore. he's the male lead of the drama and you didn't even show us how he is in the present? the present line could've simply not existed and the story wouldn't have changed one bit. what was the point at all to tell the story backwards when the present didn't have any importance at all? the writers were too greedy with their story.i get the whole "what i wanted in my 20s isn't what i want in my 40s" kind of ending, but the way they portrayed it is the most disappointing thing ever. i'm not only disappointed because they didn't end up together, but the breakup was absolutely nonsense for a relationship like theirs, and the way the drama portrayed everything after 2002 is really mediocre, except for yurim and jiwoong. like someone else said, first love is one thing, but true love is another, and the writers definitely didn't know how to handle what they created. it feels like a waste of time to have watched this because it was the most beautiful friendship and love portrayal, but the ending really said fvck you to all the viewers.

he's not a reporter in 2009, he's a news anchor. this position holds a completely different status than being a local news reporter (altho not very local cuz he was oddly dispatched to NYC, but yeah).

this was so boring and i forced myself to watch it just because of jun, but it was such a chore to finish it. so many ridiculous and bad cliche things annoyed me, but the most ridiculous one was yoochan's mom. he's a whole adult and she was acting like she was the one taking responsibility of his job, and everyone just went along with? stupid as hell.imitation wasn't great either but it was much better than this mess. well, at least the music was really good, jun looked amazing here and the whole band was eyecandy.

Okay Pachinko should most definitely be here. Letters from Iwo Jima, an American film directed by Clint Eastwood…
literally just came here to comment on that. regardless of the investment and all that, the entire main cast is asian - it should totally be here. it makes no sense.
