I suspect Haishi was just driving an empty carriage. Lang Huan went in the special tank the emperor constructed…
I was very curious to know what caused FJM's realisation in the mountain. It was prolly sth significant that happened, else he wouldn't have said what he said to the Emperor (you'd think as an audience anyways). Yup, I suspect sth was edited out, about how the mermaid was really transported back.
You are not the only one. It seems they cut off some scenes.
really? I was really curious to know what happened when they fell off, because the way the Emperor asked what happened in the Mountain, I thought they were at least going to show a quick flash back. Disappointed!!
Just finished watching ep 45 and 46. For me, this is where the drama drama ends, am not buying any last minute…
against my better judgment, I think you are making a wiser choice. Though tomorrow's scene in their home, before the darn pigeon arrives is a must watch....they can finally let their hair down (literally and figuratively).
So he retired and became mr.ceo who dotted on his wife...lets just end it here hahahaha
yup Mr CEO is the right word to use... a conglomerate too, with diversified businesses.
The scene in E45 where HS and FJM are running to his room so he can write the pledge to honour his words, the person running wasn't FJM but WC, the way he was laughing was exactly how WC would laugh, not FJM. I kept laughing when I saw that scene.
And that must have been the most important document he wrote in his life. He wanted to get her consent so he can get down to the crucial part, consummating their marriage. LOL
Ah, so E46 had the scene where WC said he could give YM (in an interview) whatever Youdu gave her... he wanted to beat the row of shops that Youdu had. And true enough, he did. I'll just enjoy a bit more of the jovial, grinning side of FJM tomorrow and then, come what may...
Considering YM in the interview said she cried so much the camera crew also cried, geez, I don't like the sound of that... Our Zhou Ying still hasn't had a chance to meet Zhe Liu yet. oh, and what a convenient way the director wrapped up things with Tara.
Oh, I just had to get this off my chest, can we have FJM telling HS to stop calling him Sifu????
Guys I have a doubt. Whose side is general Tang on. I don't seem to recall the details from the previous episodes…
prior to this he was making signals to Ji Chang. But I don't believe there has ever been a moment where we have seen him do anything treacherous towards Du Xi, not yet anyway.
All I can say for episode 43 and 44 is wow 😯 this drama really keep us on our toes doesn’t it? 😆Can I…
in the very last few minutes, when HS walked into the room, the look on his face as he saw her approaching was indeed different, it was subtle but Willam Chen was trying his darnedest to portray a change in how felt about her, openly.
Before this, there was self-restraint and pain but in that particular scene, it was affectionate.
The beginning of Episode 43 was touching, after all this time, not being able to hear from the horse's mouth about why he did certain things, Du Xi let HS eavesdrop on his conversation with FJM. From that conversation, HS finally knows why FJM did what he did to her, not explicitly, but it was very clear that he loves her.
The Emperor has my utmost respect, despite being such an ill-tempered brute with Ti Lan.
LOL, Du Xi calls FJM a blockhead - the very last sentence of E44! It's so funny.
Anyways, to give u all the context, FJM and HS fall off the cliff as per the preview supposedly with a box/container containing the mermaid. We don't see them till much later after the rebellion army make their move and the envoys are being hosted dinner by Du Xi. They all kick up a row asking to see the Dragon Tail god, and Ji Chang becomes so bold, he steps right up to the throne to stand beside the emperor. It's at that point Du Xi realises there's no turning back for his brother, the die is cast, he has made a claim for the throne.
FJM and HS show up and everyone is shown the mermaid but it's quite clever, you kinda see the tail and lots of splashing around, something is obviously swimming inside but they don't realize its a mermaid, not a Dragon Tail god. Anyway, that settles the issue with the envoys and Du Xi asks them to sign a treaty to never wage war on DaZheng empire again. If they do, they will never get protection from this Dragon Tail God.
HS presents all the evidence of JC's crime plus the lead men in his army are presented. So, JC is carted off to prison for judgement. Du Xi has tears in his eyes, after all, it's his only brother.
OK, so now's the sweet part, at the very last scene, (this was in a BTS where WC chopped YM in the neck to render her unconscious and she was complaining it was painful) and this is that scene. HS hasn't eaten and slept since they fell off the cliff. Du Xi is somewhat bewildered as to why FJM would render her unconscious and he explains that she will die of exertion, ahead of him, if she doesn't get a good night's rest. Du Xi comments that FJM seems different - did something happen to the two of them when they fell off the cliff? FJM replies that he's been a fool before this and has forgone many things and that he will send HS back to rest - he carries her in his arms unabashedly and leaves. (as he speaks, the dimples appear and he seems much calmer and at peace with himself). It is at this point that Du Xi says "Has the block head come to his senses?"
Note: I think they sneaked the mermaid by ship and to draw attention away from the actual container, as a decoy, HS drove a cart with a box. The preview where she falls off a cliff is real BUT FJM shows up and falls off together with her. The only sad thing is HS's mum sacrificed herself as she was held hostage by JC's men and so as not to burden her daughter, she killed herself right in front of HS. It was a painful scene, truly a mother's sacrifice.
oh and btw, mermaid is indeed kind, she offered to detoxify the poison for FJM. When HS reached the seaside, the mermaid touched HS's hands and got a glimpse of all the memories. She knew how HS wanted her to help, for the envoys and to cure FJM.
HS puking blood..Did JC or Tilan maid poison her? https://twitter.com/cdramal/status/1466736014081368074?s=21
that is a dream that FJM had when he was doped with sleeping medication while HS went to get the mermaid, she said she would become his bai xi. Shortly after, she vomitted blood and that jerked him to consciousness.
I feel you. How apt - comatose couple. You are right, thus far, the only time they are true to themselves is when…
LOL, I think it's the self-restraint, the tendency to be self-sacrificing, putting others' needs ahead of his own. Also, the inability to understand things from others' perspective, at least HS'. In this regard, no matter how one dimensional You Du was, he understood her and knew what was important to her. Call it empathy or a different kind of intelligence. You are right, FJM certainly needs a lot of work in this aspect!
Yes I think Haishi fetches the mermaid. Not sure if Jianming is well enough to go with her and the mermaid can…
I don't think so, I think this entire time he is unconscious. Though I am curious at which point he awakens. Because there is this scene where someone pulls a firework kinda thingie to sound the alarm and looking at the headwear, it's the one that FJM wore, you can see this in E44 preview.
