yup, he's alive. And I hope they have their me-time together. Hopefully FJM isn't as stuffy before, and worried…
yup, which is why I hope FJM won't be a prude like before, where he was worried about reputation and things like that. Tbh, she is the Empress and rightfully should watch her conduct. But I think considering he's prolly back to being in charge of Ji Feng Pavillion and she's the Empress, they can find a way around things, it's a question of whether they want to or not.
I'm going to be more cautious about watching Novaland themed stories in the future. Is it a Novoland thing to…
My very first too. Apparently someone said yes, they all have SE. But then again, costume dramas are usually like this...quite the norm to have SE, the directors think that it gives viewers a memorable experience and I think it soothes their ego to leave behind something that irks/disappoints/torments us.
Now I understand what Yang Mi meant when she summarized the drama (in an interview) with the words: 'Love but…
sigh, yes, now that you mention it. Though that is typically used for loving someone and having that person spurn your affections or stomp all over your feelings. In this case I think by the time we reach that part, FJM doesn't spurn her affections anymore, it's way past that. If anything I think he would be immensely grateful that she is so understanding and that she has, like him, put duty towards the country above their love. They just can't live together as man and wife. He won't push her away like he used to just that they have to be more careful in the public eye.
Can someone explain for me the significance of the feather scene? What do you mean heavenly intervention, and…
You know the ending with the crane flying above head and it sheds a feather? It's when the Crown Prince aka Emperor is telling HS that FJM's health has improved as compared with the earlier years...
From https://fengshuibeginner.com/crane-symbolism/, here's what the crane means: "In China, the crane, also known as the heron has always been one of the most auspicious symbols since the olden times. It is a symbol of nobility and long life. In addition, it also represents everlasting love and loyalty in romance. "
And from artfixdaily.com: "In Chinese culture, the crane is venerated as the prince of all feathered creatures and thus has a legendary status. Embodying longevity and peace, it is the second most favored bird symbol after the phoenix"
So, I take it to mean that the country is ushering in a period of peace and that FJM will live a long life. I was a little puzzled as to why the feather flew in the wind and we got to see young HS with FJM.... and I think the first explanation informs us that it also represents "everlasting love and loyalty"....
So, from what i've read in the posts below, in the previous trailer/in Episode 6, he dodged and didn't catch the feather but this time round, he did. So, he accepts the love and the blessings from the crane or should I say the love from HS?
thanks for the heads up! I didn't know there was a special scene where he catches the feather, I think not many…
yah I watched all those, except for the ending credit scene where he catches the feather. At any rate, I kinda second that FJM and HS don't have a kid, the poor child will end up being bai xi to the current emperor. Geez, I don't think HS would want that. well, I won't want that for her.
yes, I hope FJM isn't as stuffy as he used to be and be all worried about propriety. Come on, a hug or a touch…
Indeed, it's come full circle, he's gone back to wearing the mask just like when he started. I hope he isn't a prude and tells her about propriety and proper conduct again.
Although the emperor and Tilan died, I feel like they had HE more than HZ and FJM.I didn’t expect FJM to be…
we consider it an open ending because of what's to happen after that. Long before this, someone posted a leaked ending, predicting that HS would ascend the throne and care for the child emperor. It was also predicted that FJM would survive to care for the boy. After many years, when the boy came of age, they would leave the palace and resume their original lives. So the open ending part is whether this really happens, it's up to our own imagination. truly.
