Is it only me or does anyone else think that she looks like an Elf in her Profile Pic? I mean her Hand on the Right of the Photo almost resembles an Elf Ear.

I have watched a lot of Korean “Sageuks” and I do enjoy those since it's a complete package for me. Sageuks usually have Politics, Romance, Comedy, Action and the usual clichés like Amnesia or Birth Secrets et al while modern dramas also have these but they generally get too ahead and end up messing up everything.
Besides I love “Old and Medieval Korean” a lot I mean the way those ministers address the King in a different tone/pitch every other time.... I used to find that amusing for some reason. And I love the Costumes too. Everyone in Historic Dramas look classy and beautiful (Yes including Males).

While I think Historical C-dramas aren't my cup of tea perhaps because of the amount of episodes they have. Like watching a 40+ Epsiode drama is more or less a NO for me.
The only Drama I thoroughly enjoyed was "Joy of Life".
Perhaps because it didn't have White or other colored wig and those unrealistic CG Dragons or Mythic Creatures. And it's not that I don't like CG, I am a sucker and I love the Lord of the Rings series a lot which is somewhat West's Wuxia/Xianxia but Cdramas feel awkward to me.
The Dubbing annoys me the most after the CG. And then they drag the plot a lot too by putting a lot of unnecessary fillers.

And I have to disagree with "SFL being there just for a show" SFLs in Historic Dramas can be as witchy, cocky and mean as they can be in a Modern Drama. SFLs in Historic Dramas too bully the FL and go to any extent to get the ML for herself.

One more thing that I'd like to add is that Historic Dramas especially Sageuks need to be more diverse. I mean Koreans despite having high budget suck at making Historic Dramas. I can't even remember how many times they've made dramas on Taejong, Saejong and Taejo of Joseon.
I mean get over with it and make dramas on other Dynasties/Kings as well like Goryeo only had 2-3 dramas that I can remember which weren't even exactly proper Historic ones. Then you have Baekje, Silla, Gaya Confederacy, Goguryeo, Balhae, Gojoseon, Jumong et al too. Won't it be awesome if they cover a broader spectrum in their shows. There must a lot of stories yet to be told on-screen and perhaps retold like "Jumong" should get a remake.

In the end, all I can say is that I like all sorts of dramas Modern as well as Historic. Both have their own flaws and pros hence I can't put one over the other.

I agree with you on Scarlett Heart and Vincenzo besides Vagabond ought to be here. It didn't have an ending at all. And
No Offence, But a sequel toThe Heirs? I don't think I wanna see that happening 😂

I think there are ton of other dramas which need to have a follow up which aren't on the list like Signal, The Guest, Watcher, Life on Mars and the Suits. Latter 2 are remakes and idk why they made these in the first place if they were not sure about the sequels.
All of these shows ended on cliffhanger and yet they chose not to make a sequel.

Totally. Lately I'm cleansing my eyes with Netflix shows though I always think production wise, acting wise and…
I just hope Kdramas can go back to their good old days or perhaps make dramas on different subjects covering more broader spectrum since OTT doesn't have strict regulations and international audience may accept those shows. Clichéd shows are good too as long as they aren't typical "Makjang" like CLoY was entertaining despite it's clichés. I mean it wasn't a perfect show people can still find flaws there but who cares as long as you feel good while watching a show which I think is case with majority of viewers. They aren't there to learn about technicalities, they're simply there to be entertained right? It's just that using same tropes over and over and having too many of clichés thrown together with mediocre scripts ruins dramas.

Is it based on Novel by Lousia May Alcott? Is this going to be same as movie of Timothee chalamet?
Nah I don't think so. It's just loosely based besides it's set in modern times and in Korea so changes from the original are inevitable.

let her be a couple with lee jong suk for once ;(
Yes please!!! She needs her first full fledged FL role and it couldn't be better if the ML would be LJS. They're good friends in real life too so it'd be great to see them as a pair on-screen.

I have to agree on this. After watching Kdramas for years, I will always ended up having major withdrawal then…
I agree with the episode format issue. Like tvN has been doing this shit a lot with Hospital Playlist episode being more than 2 hours. Like what are they smoking? 2 hours is enough for a movie man and they made a single episode last that long. They should get flexible with the no. of episodes and the duration of each episode. It doesn't have to be 16 One hour episodes if the story can be told be fewer episodes but sometimes they should add more episodes like make it 20 if they have more to tell and give the drama a proper conclusion. I always had this problem I mean with Cdramas too untill very recently that they add too many fillers in the middle episodes that by ending they can't get their mess together and end up writing/giving us a rushed unsatisfactory ending.
I know every show can't be perfect and will have it's flaws but at least someone should try to change that with OTT being there, they can play around more with no constraints of having the show aired on regular TV channels.

Wow I never thought that I'd ever see B'wood Movies on MDL articles that too for Kdrama Remake. But I'm up for 3 Idiots remake since it won't have stupid dance songs (No offence I really think Bollywood should get away with all the songs at least don't put in every movie).
Besides I'd love to see Maid Sama, Home Alone, Notting Hill, A walk to remember and I sold my life for 10k Yen a Year adapted into a Kdrama.
Also Skip Beatz seems interesting and I'd love to see that too cuz I love Kim Da-mi.... also it'd be great if Park Hyung-sik gets the ML role lol 😂 Da-mi would then continue her Wooga Gang collection.

Btw, I am also in a slump and barely watched a few of the KDramas that aired since 2020 and I have the same reason that Kdramas have lost their charm I mean the thing which actually attracted me years ago which was totally different from American Content yet somewhat similar to my preference. While I started watching C-dramas last year I am already out of dramas since I am neither a fan of Wuxia/Xianxia nor I can watch same Cinderella story being told again and again. And J-dramas are totally not my cup of tea. I mean though they have great stories and I have a few in my PTW List, I can't bear that "Orange Filter". I mean man they should spend more money and get their production and visual quality better. I still can't forget about K-dramas tbh and I hope that they'd still make original works and get back that spark.

She's so beautiful and amazing actor. I remember her from her first show, He's a Pyschometric which I watched 3 years ago while it was still on air. I hope she gets all the exposure and success.

Title Sweet Home Spoiler
I finally mustered up courage and watched this after almost 2 years since it aired. Amd wow what a great drama…
Q1. Was it Kim Sung-cheol's character who appeared as Lee Jin-wook in the very last scene or was Lee Jin-wook also a special infected person?

Q2. Did Lee Do-hyun's character really die in the end or was that blood a sign that he got infected too?

I finally mustered up courage and watched this after almost 2 years since it aired. Amd wow what a great drama it is. Almost all of the cast did a great job and they nailed their respective parts.
OST though just a single track gave that amazing vibe over-all.
I am now eagerly waiting for Season 2 and hoping that same cast will return apart from Song Kang, Lee Si-young and Lee Jin-wook especially the Lee Siblings and Park Gyu-young.

Btw, I have a few questions which am gonna write in the following comment marked as a spoiler so if anyone can answer then it'd be great.

Title Thirty-Nine
I've deleted my previous comment which apparently was one of the comments belonging to "40 year old acting like Teen" section. My whole point was just that humans live with multiple faces and yes you can act immature or silly with your friends but generally people show a different side in public not everyone acts all jumpy in public. And YES, some people never grow up BUT some grow way early perhaps cuz of any reason like not living upto someone's expectations, facing financial difficulties or any sort of failures or death of a loved one. Just like how in E2 lives of the characters in this show begins to change. And like I said before Personality may remain but your habits, your preferences, your mindset, choices, decisions and perception changes.

The only issue I had with them (despite being a 24 year old myself who isn't same as I was when I was 15 or 16) was how they acted in public as well. They seem immature rather than just being young. YES, they can enjoy their lives and I wasn't saying that they have to follow some rulebooks or rules set by society to act like a 40 year old but people themselves become more self conscious and act differently at least when they're around unknown faces like slapping others and ending up police station while you yourself is doing same thing.

P.S. I wrote this not to ask for anyone's approval or advise but just to make myself clear. I don't think people are ready to accept other's opinions as simply opinions rather than bashing them up and making them look like narrow minded conservatives boring people. Being a liberal means accepting multiple voices saying different things. Peace out ✌️.
