DOTS was the drama that got me addicted to Dramas :D back in 2016.
Although the first Kdrama that I watched was "Full House" when I was only 8 cuz Mum started watching it but I had vague memory of it until I rewatched it.
This fan guide is really on point!! I can say I'm her fan although I have dropped her dramas except SWDBS. I really fell for her cuteness when I first watched SWDBS in 2018 and although I enjoyed that show and is one of my favourites but I generally skip the whole “Psycho Killer” Part. I too feel that the Writer played with fire while putting all those genres together.
While her movies are really great, I mean I cried buckets at that climax scene of The Werewolf Boy and enjoyed Scandal Makers, On Your Wedding Day and Hot Young Blood. But she should choose her drama scripts more wisely. Her last 2 shows were real disappointments. Btw I watched her in "Unexpected Business Season 1" and she was super cute and fun there as well. I hope that upcoming drama works well for her and entertain not just her fans but everyone.
Hmm.... yes somewhat similar in a way that both characters go from Novel to another set in ancient times apart from the same cast members. Both dramas shows the journey of the ML. But that's the only similarity otherwise JoL has more politics and serious stuff while MHH has more Comedy I'd say.
This show is pretty average. Acting was great but story could've been better. I mean Jdramas always seem inferior to Kdramas whether the Visual Quality or the Execution of the scripts. This show started too well but then went downhill from E5. It took me almost a whole week to complete this cuz I downloaded all the eps but couldn't get past E6 for days :( The script had it's potential but idk what didn't work out? Best part was that it didn't have your regular clichés or sly vamps/villains or any sorta toxicity.
I just wish IF Japan can spend a lil more on the production. They have good stories and great actors with good looks. Anyway just like every Jdrama that I've watched... I got hooked on with OST, now I have Fushigi by Gen Hoshino in my Spotify Favourites.
Somehow there are a few near-certainties with tvN dramas:- the first episode is quite bad,- the ending is murky. What's…
I wouldn't totally agree with you but yeah it's somewhat true as well but then that statement applies to most of the K-dramas across Channels and OTT Services. As far as I can remember some of tvN's most popular shows had a good EP1 but had pretty bad Last Episode while some had a good ending too along with a Good EP1. Like CLoY, Prison Playbook or Reply 1988 just to name a few.
lmao agreed on the Sageuks always being set in the same time period. Empress Ki was really nice imo. It would…
I second you on the Long Lost Childhood Lovers story arc. Idk why don't they show other era or get over with the clichés. There was one more drama that featured Yuan Dynasty apart from Empress Ki was I don't remember the name but it had Siwan and Yoona as leads and it was set in Goryeo's later stages almost when it was taken over by Joseon. But that show too didn't do justice and had those same stupid clichéd elements.
