The romantic development in My dear brother is so slow compared to YSMD. Maybe because the ML there is confusing being an older brother from being an oppa. I have trouble watching My Dear brother because it doesn’t induce the “giddiness” that I’m looking for in fluffy romcoms. But I binged watched this drama because it had that “giddiness” factor.

Here are several works by Lu Dan Dong not included in the list. These are just his works with this specific actress that I love. I don’t know her name so I just described her as cute girl. 🤣 Most of the dramas are in Douyin, which is maybe why they’re not included in the list:

- My Unexpected Wife - LDD accidentally sleeps with the mute FL that time travelled to the past and then they fall in love
- Love Beyond Words/ President Love - continuation of MUW, FL forgot LDD and tries to kill him. LDD tries his best to make his wife remember and to find out who’s behind everything
- My Sweetie - FL initially leaves LDD and their son due to some misunderstanding. Just when they’re all about to be killed she travels to the past to repair her relationship with LDD and prevent the “murder”
- My Sweetie 2 - FL & ML get electrocuted and have body swap (latest series 02/21/22)

I found a playlist on YT for Emperor and General but it only has Thai subs. I guess you can just watch and use context clues if you don’t speak Mandarin or Thai. 😅

Thank you. Will put this on my watch list. Right now I have a lot of currently watching dramas including the Love and Redemption (another angst fest) and the chances of continuing another anst fest drama is slim. :D

I'm apprehensive about watching this 24 ep drama even with the superb acting of Bai Lu and Allen Ren because I feel like this will be a cry fest. Can someone who read the source material, 一生一世美人骨 – Beautiful Bones" by Mo Bao Fei Bao, provide a more complete summary of the whole story?

Is this the love that must not be type? Will there be a lot of moping? No hijinks? Is there a lot of Angst and Noble Idiocy like in Love and Redemption? Thanks in advance!

Comparing ep 1 to 10 of My Dear Brothers and A Camellia Romance, I can say that ACR is more engaging and exciting. Romantic development is also quicker and I was actually contemplating getting a Premium VIP membership on top of my Standard VIP iQiyi membership just to access the full episode. But thanks to our other MDL friends here, I will probably just watch the rest of the episodes on dramacool even with the dubious subtitles. Of all the plot devices, the one in TANG DYNASTY TOUR is the one I hate the most and the producers of ACR actually pulled one. AGH! Wasting the fluffy feeling at the beginning. Here I was hoping iQiyi will bring another full fluffy romance. T.T

I had reservations watching Chef Fang as it was an old drama (same year as The Eternal Love 1) and looked dated. But I was so surprised after just watching 3 episodes. The male lead is not your typical dashing prince, he's the opposite -- he's a loafer, good-for-nothing, bully. His character is the perfect fit for Yishao who's responsible, quick witted, and very practical. I thought I wouldn't like this show because I really liked Chef Hua, but surprisingly I think Chef Fang is actually better than Chef Hua. The ML is as interesting as the FL. In Chef Hua I found the ML to be a bit boring, and Chef Hua saved the show. Excited to finish this drama, so much so that I skipped to ep 36 to see the happy ending. XD

I think it's how he portrayed being a loafer and bully at the beginning. So he's slouches, picks his nose, rolls his eyes, etc at the beginning of the drama. But gradually as Yishao helps him change for the best, his posture also improves as he gets to do more useful things and becomes more confident and responsible.

At first I got turned off by Connie Kang’s hawkishly pretty face but as you progress thru the drama you appreciate her beauty. Also Jason Koo looks way better as Yan Qing than his character Bei Tang Yu in Oh My Emperor. Jason Koo fits the naughty, laid back, brass character more than the serious, prince type.

I’m still at ep 18 but I’m so happy I’m watching this drama on iQiyi! I’ve been missing that giddy feeling from the recent Cdramas and I’m so happy Your My Sensibility My Destiny brought back those feelings. I knew some scene were familiar and the way they built up the story — It’s because this was directed and writen by the same duo that wrote my all time favorite Cdrama THE ETERNAL LOVE! You really can never go wrong with that fur lined coat, Mo surnamed guys are always hot, and the emperor dad is back again!

I used the MGTV app to watch the complete series, sequel, and movies. But I think you need membership to watch this particular show.

Holy Moly! Finally episodes 15 onwards have English Subs! Will get back to watching this again. I liked their chemistry and was disappointed that the subbers weren't as excited to get this subbed. But thanks anyway to the subbers for the effort!

The drama ended the same fluffy way as they described in the synopsis but was it only me who was a tiny bit disappointed? Like with all the flashbacks, the story could have been a slightly more epic version a la Scarlet Heart 2?

If there would ever be a sequel/prequel centering more on Emperor Zhu Xuanwen and Lian Yi, I would gladly watch that. Chemistry between Julio Wan Yan and Sabrina Zhuang was ok. But I liked the chemistry between Leslie Ma and Leo Yang more.

He's always the antagonists in the dramas I've seen him in so I was suspicious of his character. XD
