How could it be debatable? Do you still think BH only has bromance with CJ?Ok! "Goblin with Reaper" Example?
Nope, I'm still firmly on the team 'BH was always in love with CJ' and nothing can convince me otherwise (even though I've read the other camp's reasoning). Which means, Goblin without Reaper, except a 1000 times worse. T_T And we can't even imagine the former. So think, how much worse it hurts for our camp. Even for people who believed CJ X BH is a bromance/' buddy-cop' ship.... it's slightly less hurtful. But still incredibly sad. T_T
Even though he got attached to those people, that wasnt his life... He always wanted to go back... He cannot be…
Absolutely, and trust me, CLOY is the only similar sad-ending example I could come up with... which would soothe my heart. It doesn't hurt any less, though. It's been 4 days, still my heart breaks for BH T_T Atleast, Seri could meet Captain Ri for 3 weeks annually, (till he got pulled out of the Concert team). BH doesn't even have that :/
HOW are people happy BH went back to 2021? He grew some serious attachments with Hong Yeon & CL Choi, he made some good friends too, he kinda also accepted & cared for SY's father as his own in the very end. Even if his 'love' with Cheoljong is debatable... he had some serious bromance going on with him, at the very least. Even if we assumed Mr. Queen was a 'buddy-cop' drama all along, it's awfully sad he never gets to meet ANY of them again, not even the King! :/ Imagine the Goblin without the Reaper. Or Captain Shi Jin without Sergeant Dae Young. T_T
I wish they had sesson 2 of Mr Queen him returning back to the King, look at Marriage Lyrics for Divorce music…
The way the Spinoff ended, there might be a good chance for that to happen. Esp since we know the timeline got altered from ep 20, depending on cast availability, most or even all of them could have a modern day re-incarnation with BH in the present! ^^
Omygod you guys, the spinoff episodes are soooooo cuteeee! ^^ It has definitely melted away some of my rage. Seeing the opening/ end credits makes me miss the entire cast so much. I cannot believe it's over!! While I have cried my share over sad dramas, this is the FIRST one of its kind that has made me tear up because it's coming to and end!! Watching the spinoff is the closure I never knew I needed as a fan.... to say goodbye to this amazing show, and have it sink in my heart, that I won't be seeing these guys again next weekend. Or the next. T______T Long Live, Cheorin Nation! <3
There is NO WAY the writers did not listen to public opinion after initial episodes?!! Remember, we all complained we can't distinguish between the Creepy-Hot Cousin and the Simp Brother, and after a point they started putting one in red uniform and the other in blue, and it became easier? They have similar height and built, and their weepy, puppy-dog eyes is the same too. Turns out they played it for a joke and decided to make ep.1 part 2, JUST to play out on the gag even more ^^ Guys, we were not wrong, even Director Hong got confused! Man, the writers are really DAEBAK! kkk xD xD This is fanservice at its peak!
Btw, for those who haven't watched the latest behind the scenes... here it is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQaIV-hXOIkHong…
Hehe, yep actors usually bring junior artists from their agencies as support/ minor cast members.... and HY is KJH's junior at work! ^^ She's adorable!
Many korean fantasy series are a total disaster. They can’t handle their plots and logic very well. They are…
Agreed, with the reincarnation bit. It would have been a win-win situation for all. The conservatives woulda been happy, folks like us looking for a coherent plot without inconsistencies woulda been happy, and nobody woulda been queer-baited. If you'd like a fantasy time-travel/ AU historic costume rom-com drama, with a spectacular ending that had been planned since the first moment of the first episode... with enough hints and clue sprinkled through the plot, yet the major reveal comes only in the last 10minutes of the show.... might I suggest the romance of Tiger & Rose? The masterful ending alone makes it worth sitting through 18ish hours worth of episodes. They solved the time-travel bit, and kept it logically consistent with the character developments throughout the show. So incredibly satisfying! ^^ ps. the social commentary on gender-roles in society might be slightly more artfully done than Mr. Queen. For the initial first 4 episodes, it follows a similar character dynamic as Mr Queen. While we don't have gender-fluidity shenanigans, the reversed gender-stereotypes is equally hilarious to watch!
Is this drama have lgbt theme? I'm just curiousAnd. The one in love is not the real queen?
I think lgbt theme would also encompass the main plot point of an 'accidental sex-reassignment'... ie. a cis man (the chef) wakes up in a cis-het woman's body (the Queen). Even if you take out the whole 'was it BL or was it not-BL?' [and we can keep debating about his sexuality & sexual preferences and not reach a conclusion], you cannot take out the very aspect of the show where 'the man' has to adjust to a 'woman's body'. That already addresses the 'trans' aspect of lgbt, albeit very covertly, and amidst jokes and humour.
If you want the dedicated bit, minus the obsession part... I'd suggest the King's Woman. So, imagine BI's character…
Oof, I'd say Empress Ki is THE BEST contender because there is dedication and a powerful love, even if the couple doesn't end up together! (in case you don't want to watch c-dramas).... the King's Woman & Empress Ki are essentially the same drama, power dynamics and character setup wise. Though TKW is more recent, so better cinematography I guess, oh & definitely shorter!! *tragic end alert* for both though. The MLs are crazy hot and super problematic in both as well.... so yeah :P ps. both dramas also have obsessive First MLs, and the SMLs are the super nice ones, and hence don't end up with girl, duh! :)
Is there any drama which is similar to Byeongin and Soyong's relationship? I am really interested in their dynamics…
If you want the dedicated bit, minus the obsession part... I'd suggest the King's Woman. So, imagine BI's character split into two. One is the childhood love with the possesive/ obsessive love, and the other is the knight-in-shining armour who'd put his life on line. It's got dark, obsessive love too (from another character), albeit from a different character. However it ends on a very somber note, so beware :P
Is there any drama which is similar to Byeongin and Soyong's relationship? I am really interested in their dynamics…
I think what you're looking for is Legend of Xiao Chuo. She's married off to the SML who is kinda pathetic and abusive. In the end, she ends up with our ML, he's the one who's dedicated to her and all, being her knight in shining armour. But it doesn't have the obsessive-love bit, like he's got to have her.
Is there any drama which is similar to Byeongin and Soyong's relationship? I am really interested in their dynamics…
I think the Rebel Princess which is airing currently satisfies a few criteria: -SML and the FL grew up together thinking they'll be married but she's married off to the ML (who is even more awesome) -SML is slightly unhinged, and kinda obsessed with the FL, and isn't ready to grow out of his puppy-love phase. -Tries to gain power to 'get her back' but he's kinda useless, palae-politics wise, and a pathetic moping loser.
It doesn't hurt any less, though. It's been 4 days, still my heart breaks for BH T_T Atleast, Seri could meet Captain Ri for 3 weeks annually, (till he got pulled out of the Concert team). BH doesn't even have that :/

Hope we can continue to maintain this spot! :D

The implications are pretty obvious!
-SML and the FL grew up together thinking they'll be married but she's married off to the ML (who is even more awesome)
-SML is slightly unhinged, and kinda obsessed with the FL, and isn't ready to grow out of his puppy-love phase.
-Tries to gain power to 'get her back' but he's kinda useless, palae-politics wise, and a pathetic moping loser.
