I went into this without reading about it and not even knowing who the ML's were, and I was pleasantly surprised to have enjoyed this. After reading the write up following the first episode, I'm actually keen to watch the next ep. Can't say I'm a fan of the actors playing the ML's but maybe they'll grow on me. So far so good.
Welp, it's getting a bit sleepy. Good thing it's wrapping up soon, dragging it out any longer is gonna' tank it entirely. That's the potential downside of 'slice of life' shows, they get boring fast if they're not super well written and engaging. I mean, I really like the pairing and even the kid, so I hope it ties up nicely.
You know, I really enjoyed it, the acting was GREAT, the characters, the cinematography, and the horror part were all really well done and everything was going so well, but in the end, the show just didn't peak. It built and built but never quite hit for me. For that reason, it's an 8/10 from me. Would recc it though.
So far this show is qualifying as a background watch for me. I see many people talking about their likes and dislikes too, but personally I'm finding it hard to like anyone. Initially I actually liked Day (De? I dunno his name, the subs are bad), only to realize he's not even a main character.
I really like MosBank so I'll give this a try. I hope the script is better written than Big Dragon.
I really like them too. MaxTul have always been (and will always be) my number one Thai BL pairing, but MosBank are like MaxTul 2.0 imo. Big Dragon didn't do them justice and I'm hoping their new show will be better. Same for SantaEarth from My Only 12% actually, I hope they do another show together with a MUCH better script. Most Thai BL pairs don't interest me beyond a one time watch, but these three pairings are 🔥
It's really early, but so far I've got mixed feelings because right off the bat Seo Han Joon is great, a very likeable character. He has a subtle reserved personality, but he's also seemingly genuine, suitably friendly with everyone, reasonable and nice, BUT Jo Yoo Jae barely scrapes the likeable line for me. Like, even his resting expression screams 'not a nice dude', and then he's acting cocky and entitled and I pretty much wanted to punch him in the face.
Park Jin Hwan is far more likeable over all, and it's only episode 2. So, not sure if the writers are just swinging confidently for a home run because they've got some great game plane to make JYJ actually likeable, or if this show will strike out with a very mismatched pairing. Mismatched main pairings are the worst in my opinion.
But it's only episode 2, and I like the acting and natural flow of the scenes and dialogue so far, so let's see how it goes.
Dropped. Pretty much skipped eps 7 to 10 in chunks before giving up, it just gets worse imo. Messy story line, very forced pairings (was this show pushing Un and Two??? Why and how and when did that even develop? What about Lynn???) and there is no redeeming 'Khai' as a character. I don't care that he sleeps around, the fact that he is a pr*ck as a person in general makes him shi*t. Also, his sudden interest in Third after ALL that drama made no sense, and it was hella rushed too, he went from no-homo to all-the-homo between one episode and the next.
I know this show is 'old' now, but still. Anyway, 5/10
I am on episode six and I can honestly say I have never shipped any pairings LESS than in this. Ever. The only pairing worth anything is Bone and Paan, the rest can sink, fast and quietly, no lifeboats and survivors please.

I guess for me personally, I find scenes like that to be unnecessary. For example, I preferred that Eiw never blushed or acted weird or acted confused up until, and even after, the moment he realized his feelings for Cake were non-platonic. That moment when he was watching that movie, when it hit him, was more than enough and so nicely done imo.
That said, I would rather have watched a scene of them talking about their origins of their feelings in place of Cake's one sided, loaded English love spiel at the end of ep 12. That level of confession was too intimate for such a new relationship, it felt out of place, like it should have been saved for a 'one year later' or S2 scene. It was too much too soon and also a bit too static. But even though the show was flawed and my eyes were rolling through the first 9 episodes, it's still better than 80% of the other Thai BL's making the rounds.

Just my delayed perspective, but Cake's revelation was not of actual 'romantic feelings' for Eiw, but rather, it was the realization of the possibility for a less than platonic relationship. And the turning point for that realization happened when Eiw kissed him on the cheek.
In the series up until that point, Cake had been the tactile one (and I mean wow, he was touchy) but Eiw (subconsciously and consciously) was not very touchy for the most part. For Cake, when Eiw kissed his cheek, being as it was an abrupt but straightforward action compared to their previous dynamic, my assumption is that the feeling he got when being faced with Eiw showing him bold affection, was very different than how he'd felt doling out all his (questionably) brotherly affection in the times before, and I think that was where the realization of possibility took root.
And to the physical side, Cake's tactility had already been borderline non-platonic so many, many times, (perhaps this is from my Western point of view), and imo that was what made the orientation adjustment and transition easier for him, from seeing Eiw as a platonic friend, to seeing him as a potential partner.
Not sure if it makes you feel any less frustrated hearing my opinion xD
Well, I'm here to say that in the end, it was worth the watch. Episodes 10 to 12 were good enough for me that they redeemed the extensive task I suffered through watching the whole high school arc.
Episodes 13 and 14 can be glazed over. I mostly skimmed them, finding them lacking in point, necessity and honestly, it was just poor timing. Throwing that kind of storyline down so late in the game was bad form. Well acted, but ill timed, as it were.
The best part of this for me is that I have not seen a single Thai BL couple with this much natural physical and personality chemistry since MaxTul. MosBank have potential, but SantaEarth are already in the game. I hope to see more of these two together in BL series (because I like both actors).
