@violetfields99, Yes I think you're completely right. Hopefully the happy parts will make us all squeal with delight. Their chemistry is no joke. Lately I've been more interested in their lives than mine. But you know what? Shows like these come by only once in a while. It's okay to get excitedπ
Wait a damn minute.... did they hint as to who's the "top" and who's the "bottom" with the whole "wifey and husband"…
I think that the whole point of the scene was that anyone can be anything in a relationship as long as they are happy with it. That is why Pat inspite of being muscular, didn't hesitate to become Pran's wife. This was to do away with the top and bottom tropes that exist. Physical appearance doesn't correspond to someone's postion in bed, at least I guess that is the message they were trying to get through to us viewers
Probable Reason as to why Pat kept trying so hard to make Pran happy in episode 3 (Posting for better understanding of the show)
Many of us might think that it is because of the way Pat is. He is a person with good heart. He wears his heart on his sleeve. He loves to goof around and that he partly felt guilty for Pran's transfer and also the fact that his friends started the fight.
But there is a hidden pain behind his facade of happiness. Many of Pat's actions stem from this pain. All this time Pat has been considered as a jinx to Pran by :
1) his friends( scene in which Pran got transferred, Pat's friends blamed him), 2) his sister ( always blaming him ) 3) all alike
when in the reality he has never tried to harm Pran or cause trouble to him in any way. Even Pran himself considers him to be a jinx in his life.
This is why sometimes the expression on his face hardens , as seen towards the end of episode 3 when Pran was playing the guitar, and Pat's smile suddenly vanishes. (Pay attention to last part of episode 3 when Pat's smile vanishes while Pran was playing. He's contemplating whether he really is the jinx in Pran's life as they claim him to be. Episode 3 part 4/4 timestamp 9:56 -10:03)
"Why are you so hard on me? Are you this hard on your other friends?"
All Pat desparately wants, is to get rid of the jinx tag he got , despite him not being at fault. He has CARED for Pran throughout his life......which is evident seeing how he kept Pran's treasured possession close to him, knowing fully well he might have to face his parents wrath. He just wants Pran to know the same.
These are great insights and lends this drama a whole new level of meaning beyond your normal BL like 2gether.…
No problem. It's always good to know others views. You can also share your views if you like. As I always say, different views can broaden our minds and horizon

Yes, their story is pretty tragic actually. It is just being presented in a light hearted manner. Pran's mom separating Pran from Pat had for sure inflicted some trauma and damage to Pran. That is why he has lost his emotions. Being with Pat makes him feel all those emotions again.
In short, Pat and Pran have been fighting their own battles silently.
I can't help but appreciate the director. This show is the best I've come across.
PS . I don't want you to be depressed.π£ Just I felt that you should know like what's going on in their heads and driving their actions. I'm just in love with the director, and hoping that his work doesn't go unappreciated. For some of the other Thai bls that I have watched ( I respect the shows) but I could barely sit through them.

I haven't read the novel yet. Yes I read these insights from other viewers fron youtube, facebook, tumblr. I understand their posts and summarize the important parts. I think all these insights are essential for us to capture the essence of this drama. Else we wont be able to understand why Pran is the way he is.
Reason as to why Pran uses tokens or smiley faces for his portrayal of emotions (Posting for better understanding of the show)
It is evident that Pran had all along just denied all the emotions that he had ever felt for Pat. Thus, he became closed off and seemingly cold, turned entirely to logic just shut down for any type of emotion.
But upon meeting Pran again after 3 years he cannot handle the burst of all those feelings resurfacing.
One moment he is calm and collected, and the next Pat shows up and he cannot help himself, but feel good and smile and just be completely smitten.
And THAT is what bothers him. He is forcing himself to think that he cannot be anything but an enemy with Pat. It is so ingrained in his brain that he has to hate the guy that he cannot stop himself from trying to get distant.
This leads to depression, this is why he uses tokens - the smiley faces and the sticky notes - of happiness. Pran is simple yet deceiving. A simple smiley face. So simple... but reflected in everything he does. The choice to smile, the choice to be in control, the choice to keep him emotions behind lock and key and quiet. He doesn't allow his mind to create it's own happiness - he takes that of an outside source, which is basically a placebo.
Pran would live in denial for the rest of his life if it meant he was safe.
But Pat on the other hand wears his heart on his sleeve. His denial will only last until he realizes that he's in denial and what he's denying.
Good insight! Thanks for sharing! It is interesting to note that in the original novel, it is Pat's family that…
Ooh, I didn't know that. Thank you for sharing. Since the comments section is on fire, Im not posting more insights for now, but I will in the coming days. Post episode3 syndrome wont be supposedly over in 3-4 days. Lol π
Why Pran said that Pat's Family is flexible in Episode 3 (Posting here for better understanding of the show. For those who have not watched till episode 3 WARNING!! SPOILERS AHEAD)
It wasn't actually a comment on Pat's family/parents. It was a comment on his own family.
Pran doesn't get a new anything for becoming the class president. That was expected of him. Pran obviously grew up in a much stricter house with more rigid expectations.
After Pran says that, Pat doesn't say anything in defense of his family because he knows what Pran is really saying. He knows what happened in the past. Pat knows what Pran deals with. He KNOWS.
Both Pat and Pran deal with pressure from their families but it's a different kind of pressure. And they handle it so differently.

Yes, I was just afraid that people might not like reading all these insights. But the thing is, these small details make up the heart of Bad Buddy. In the course of watching the show we often forget to read in between the lines. As a result, we think "Ooh the show is pretty ordinary. Nothing new ". The director has given a lot of hidden messages which are essential to understand and enjoy the show.
Yes , like you,I too think that Pran was unsure of the kind of feelings he had for Pat at that point in time and Pran entering into his room signifies him opening himself up to Pran.
I will certainly post more insights as the show progresses. Thank you for your words of encouragement. π π

In the scene after they raced each other to their doors when Pat hears a knock on his doors he thought it's Pran knocking.
He was legit disappointed to see his three dumb friends. So his grin vanished
