I like that Qiao Man's people around her are not the conniving kind, forever trying to instigate her to scheme against her husband. XiaoTao is smart, her mother is wise and they along with the other lady are more like confidants than servants. They truly want to protect her and thanks to XiaoTao, Qiao Man even has a secret "rainy day" account.
Not like the usual servants that we see in cdramas where they are always striring up trouble with their gossip.
I love how the leads are growing as a couple, starting with understanding and trust. Now, the romance is coming up. It's all starting, the quick glances, the little smiles, the secret messages, and best of all, the jealousy lol...
SZE is so good with her facial expressions and her side eyes! LYN, too, from cold and mean to confused blockhead!
Today's episodes (14 & 15) were so good - Wei Shao was definitely the star with his smart decisions, And it's so satisfying to see karma biting the silly Lady Zhu and the female cousin. Even the SFL, who thought she had the upper hand, got slapped in the face (not literally).

I think Wei Shao already knew that it was the cousin who ratted him out because he asked him about it. However WS was totally soft on him, saying that he was asking out of curiosity.
I have the same problem with the FL. It's so hard to finish this drama. Her acting is so over the top. She acts…
That’s one of the negatives - the show totally messed up on the physical aspects, from a womanly figure to a little girl physique. The least JJY could do is to try to stay true to the character in terms of acting.
Unfortunately she failed to deliver for me. No matter how much I tried to convince myself that perhaps she was pretending to be Shangguan Zhi, she still ended up with this weird portrayal of a young girl trying to act like an adult.
I think most people know by now that most idols cannot act so I hope the show benefited at least from her fan views.

Yeah the scenes were funny with WS pretending to be all huffy and puffy but was actually afraid to deal with his wife. It did achieve WeiYan’s intention though which was to make them quarrel. Little did he know QM was rational enough to reason the whole situation out and not blame WS. If only she told WS instead of her servant.
I love it too. Hes not jus enamored by her beauty but hes impressed with her brains too
So true - he had a clear reaction when he first saw her and how he kept noticing her looks but now it’s more him realizing her intelligence. I hope he lets his guard down soon.
Love how the relationship is progressing between our lead couple! How they are coming to understanding and respecting each other more. Qiao Man is quicker at getting there while silly Wei Shao is held back by his chauvinistic stubbornness . But we can see how he beams with pride whenever Qiao Man shows her intelligence.
Finally finished this show on my 3rd attempt. I like LXY and try to support him the best I can. Unfortunately, the choice for the FL was not the best for me.
I will refrain from further criticism since there are enough comments about JJY.
Other than that though, the story was great and once I was able to ignore my annoyance at the poor casting, I was able to enjoy the show somewhat.
