Her reasons for why she is still mad at him make complete sense to me but I still don't get why she is insisting on a divorce. At least the three tests that he has to pass to avoid the divorce should be interesting.

I guess I am in a mood where I want to see the couples actually trying to make it work between them instead of making it so difficult for each other. DYX already knelt so quickly, I feel bad for him ;D

I guess I now have a soft spot for all three son-in-laws...lol

Ep 13 was another good watch, and DYX has joined the alliance of son-in-laws who "bent their knees" :D

Somehow, I was left a little dissatisfied! I really want to see the couples be real power couples and work together. I don't like that they are trying to outwit and one-up each other, expecting the other person to swallow their pride and "submit."

I like ShouHua but why is she pushing DYX away and making things so difficult for him? Is it really because of her late husband's words?

I could be imposing my modern-day expectations here, so perhaps some folks can share their insights so that I can understand better.

Even that it’s too long. I’m greedy - I just want to enjoy all the episodes . I’ll keep my mind open and hope to be pleasantly surprised !

Exactly! It's so rare that I don't get the feels when I watch his dramas. I think I only remember two when the romance didn't work for me - Burning Flames (just no chemistry with Xing Fei which was weird because they had some chemistry in their other show) and Thousand Years for You where the characters were better off being buddies

Oh my god, I love Allen Ren! He's expressive enough to create the right romantic mood and all the feels. That forehead kiss alone was enough in the wet hair scene - the chemistry was chemistrying! And he was excellent with Dilreba in Blue Whisper.
Of course I would love it if he actually does more kissing :D

Well, I have read in the past people coming to that conclusion. They said that his wife manages his contracts and at times also plays a part in directing the show. It's all gossip and of course unconfirmed by the people involved.

For me, it's probably because he is a great family man and does not want to risk ruining his marriage. Plus he does kiss if the show calls for it like Blue Whisper and Forever and Ever.

He needs to not marry someone who could end up directing his shows :D

Exactly! Looks like both knees to me 😂 Wang Ying Xue is acting well here to me. He can pull off that cold and dignified look but immediately becomes a puppy with Kang Ning.
