This show is so entertaining, and ep 12 was an excellent example. Not only did the main characters conspired and schemed against other characters, but they also tricked the audience!
Well, at least me since I was ready to condemn DYX to hell at the start of the show. Now, I am all about the son-in-laws alliance.
A good show for me is one that makes me like the main characters more and more, and in ep 12 I really liked everyone, especially
- the mother because of her protective love for her daughters - the way she immediately looked for a weapon to defend ShouHua against DYX - the Fan cousin because he was just too adorable, being proud of being a mole for the Li women. Feel bad for him because he will be caught in the middle of the SIL alliance, and his wife's family - DYX for reasons obvious to those who finished ep 12 - the 5th daughter whose rash and brash personality (like her mother) seems like an asset now - the 4th daughter, who is now the voice of reason to calm her mother down since the first, second, and third daughters are not living with them
Chai An and Kang Ning are still my favorites and I really hope Kang Ning will soften on CA. He is really trying his best :D
My favorite line (minor spoiler) From DYX to CA - "You only have one knee bent, so you still have hope" š¤£š¤£š¤£
The problem at that time was that other people made the decision about who you would marry. Therefore devoting…
So true! It's just not realistic and the Fan cousin actually spoke some words of wisdom when he pointed out that there was no such thing as never parting.
exactly! but at the same time, if SH's widow status was not made clear to DYX that's wrong too. still doesn't…
That's a good point! I don't remember any scenes with them revealing SH's status to the Du family. Actually do you know if she was properly married, and did consummate the marriage with her first husband before he died, or was it the same situation as QiongNu where she and their brother were supposed to be married, but didn't?
I know wanting to commit yourself to one person for the rest of your life should be romantic and noble, but I still feel disappointed with with DYX for his unfair and harsh judgement.
LOL - DYX's face when he finally saw Shouhua. As Chai An said, now that he's seen her, his worldly desires were awakened...the way DYX smiled at that...so cheeky Serves him right for ruining their wedding night. He finally realized what he missed. Now he's getting all jealous of Andou getting care from his wife.
Haiz, the sooner the men learn to apologize, the better their lives will be ;D
This show was incredibly entertaining! I loved each reveal and how the male lead's deductions always made sense in the end. Every episode was intelligently written and executed with precision.
Both leads were charismatic and individually likable. While Yukawa often talked down to Utsumi, she was never overshadowed by him. Their chemistry was fantastic, and I found myself shipping them. However, I appreciated that the show didnāt force a romance at the last minute. Their relationship felt organic, with Yukawa gradually becoming more aware of Utsumi, while she clearly admired his intelligenceāand yes, occasionally his looks too. Fukuyama Masaharu excelled as the tsundere professor warming up to the rookie cop, who was wonderfully portrayed by Shibasaki Ko.
Speaking of Fukuyama Masaharuāheās so attractive! And when Kitamura Kazuki appeared on screen, it felt like double eye candy.
I do wish Season 2 had kept both leads together so we could explore their relationship further, perhaps even romantically. But alas, thatās just my wishful thinking.
Overall, Iām so glad I found this gem on Netflix. It was absolutely worth the time!
Loving this show so far. But like most people has noticed it tends to get problematic in some aspects. Some choice…
They were the actions of a rich, spoilt nobleman used to getting his way and able to afford it. To be honest, I would probably do the same if someone rejected me without giving me any explanation or a chance to do anything about it. This was before he found out more from his cousin.
