Yes, Qi Yan is also trying hard to suppress his feelings to protect Yu'er. Especially after the "peony flower test" by Qiu Shiliang. The appearance of Princess Misha created some complications. All in all, the angst is quite lowkey for now. I'm curious to see what the next episodes bring 😀

Very well said, agree with your thoughts on the latest episodes. I'm also enjoying seeing Qi Yan's evolution from a deeply troubled individual (who chats with bloody handkerchief, as you said lol) to a person with some sense of warmth and joy. Watching him bickering with RY makes them look like a romcom couple indeed but hey, I don't mind at all. That scene at the forest where he made a pledge to her, that was quite a meaningful moment.
