I'm not a medical doctor or psychologist so I can't say for sure the mental and physical impact, if any, of such a traumatic experience. But adults have been known to suffer from PTSD so for a toddler, it's not far fetched.

I was actually thinking the same thing. 2 alphas, over-achievers or type 1 personalities married to each other would sound like a whole lot of thrills and spills - trust me, I've seen this happen in real life which somehow ends in divorce too often lol. In fact in most historicals and sageuk dramas we see scheming empresses and concubines in the harem. That's when the whole trouble starts; ambitious and clever people generally don't appreciate or aren't capable of being subjugated. But it would make for an interesting palace makjang indeed 😅

Absolutely agree, complexity is the most apt description for both the creation and portrayal of the character. From the looks of things, there are more characters to come who are hopefully as intriguing and multi-dimensional as YZ (I'm really intrigued by the new characters in ep 10).
The machinations are getting more thrilling now and we still do not know who stands on which side and how many sides there actually are. Everybody is sus (⊙_⊙)？
