I think I haven't seen Sun Qian in a any drama yet, but I find her soooo pretty!! I really love that she's wearing not that much makeup or maybe it just looks like it. Anyway, she's super pretty!
Just started this and I enjoyed the first three episodes š It didn't drift too much into Mystery or Thriller yet, so I quite like the slice-of-life/romance/occupation vibe as of now š
And I really love Cheng Yi's parents. I hope nothing happens to either of them!
Why did both of them get such a horrible fashion taste after they grew up? I hated their outfits for their "first" date as adults lol They had better fashion style, when they were younger. What happened? š
I mean, I get that Yun Ji Won wore her usual sporty attire, but what's with that ugly sweater, Seok Ji Won?! XD
I ended up mostly skip-watching the latest episodes. Honestly, who even cares about these side characters, who treated the FL and ML so horribly and caused them so much pain and injustice in both their first and second life?
Sure, I get it, some of them have "changed," but I still couldn't care less about Dou Ming and that wimp husband. I still love our leads, they are literally so adorable, but there are just too many irritating side characters hogging too much screen time right now.
Hereās hoping the story shifts its focus back to our leads soonā¦
As you can probably tell from my flood of comments, Iām mostly full of praise for this drama. However, thereās one particular scene in episode 13 that I did not like...
Iām curious if anyone else felt the same way or if Iām just being overly sensitive and critical lol Honestly, Iāve been pretty disappointed by most dramas this year, so I tend to get extra picky when a show that starts off strong starts to slip.

The scene Iām talking about is near the end of episode 13, when injured Dou Zhao emotionally ran to Song Mo after they spotted each other across the lake.
First off, the editing felt abrupt and sloppy. That cinematographic cut from them running toward each other to almost embracing each other was weird and felt cut off. The inconsistent hand positioning in the different angle cuts was distracting too.
And then thereās the intimacy between them in this scene. Are they really at the stage where theyād hold each other so closely like a casual couple? I donāt think so. I sincerely hope the show wonāt skip the fun, thrilling buildup of them becoming a coupleāthe sparks, the tension, the emotional and physical closeness gradually developing. It would be such a shame to bypass all that and jump straight to a ācomfortable long-term coupleā vibe. Like a particular other drama I've watched recently ... >_>
So far, the drama has done an excellent job with these momentsāexcept for this scene. It just felt unnatural to me.
Lastly, Dou Zhao was recently suspected of having an affair, so why would they run around in public, almost embracing each other? I know youāre head over heels for each other, but where y'all left your smart brains?
I knew one of the twins would die because any time there are brothers that are subordinates and are close to the…
So true, but I actually appreciate that they didnāt squeeze it into the later episodes like so many historical dramas do these days just for shock value.
Iām already bracing myself for the possibility that almost everyone will die, because, letās be real, thatās just how historical C-dramas go. But Iād much prefer they avoid those last-minute, cheap shock deaths. Thatās why I respect the way this one was handled. It didnāt feel rushed or forced.
Of course, who knows? Maybe the other characters will still meet their end in those typical dramatic twists⦠but I hope not!
Mad props to the sound engineer for the audio during the father-son argument 30min into ep 12. Having all the…
Yes! The directing, editing and production are top-notch! I absolutely love how thoughtfully crafted some of the scenes are. The first-person shots, in particular, pull viewers right into the story, almost like a video game. This director has such a distinctive style that I really appreciate.
She said its not the time now for him to have anything else in his mind. Bcoz she knows the danger lurking ahead...…
That sounded like an excuse to me! š Their sizzling flirtations at the festival were undeniably intense and it seems our lady is worried she might be getting romantically entangled.
We're one step closer to Song Mo's gray hair š I don't think Song Mo got gray hair because of the poison, but because of sorrow, pain and emotional stress?
Why won't Dou Zhao admit she's the masked lady from the Granary Festival? Was their flirting so intense that she's trying to dodge responsibility for that night? lol
I didnāt expect Ji Yong to turn out to be such an intriguing character. I canāt quite figure him out yet. The character introductions and development so far, even for the supporting roles, have been so well done!
The leads are still in a cooperative relationship, but thereās never a dull moment when theyāre on screen together. I love it when writers take their time to develop relationships of any kindāit really enhances the story.

Okay, rant over š
