I gotta say how Wei Shao and the Wei Generals treated Qiao Ci and was on his side is just admirable considering Wei Xiao wanted to kill Xiao Qiao in the beginning with Wei Shao helping her. His love and trust for Xiao Qiao is heartwarming giving off the ima do anything for my wife
In that era, to gain a warlord and his generals trust is very hard. You probably have to go through many obstacles to prove your value. And for Wei Shao to let Qiao Ci use his brother’s spear. Something that he holds dear to is just so touching. Seeing him grow and letting go the anger/hatred he has for 14 years is difficult and heart wrenching. I felt hella proud when Qiao Ci fought using the spear with pride and respect giving it the honorary title. It’s like giving Wei Bo the respect. Such an amazing and powerful scene. Wish it had more fighting scenes and showed more of Wei Shao’s martial arts skills. The Wei’s and Qiao’s alliance can and will prevail once working together gaining one warlord’s trust is gaining the whole county and state trust and respect including other nations which is another step to becoming emperor. Love this drama so much it has a special place in my heart, and I dare say this is the best drama although it has some flaws boring me, but I still love this drama. I do still want Wei Shao to keep that angry ruthless side of him but with a touch of kindness and open heart 😂 and I like to add that kiss scene was real to me Wei Shao is in denial saying it’s a dream.
I love how he let Qiao Ci use his brother’s spear. Great trust on another level he’s finally letting go little by little. Definitely shows how much he loves Xiao Qiao

He’s handsome in historical costume dramas. He gives the outfits justice making it look good on him and not dangling swallowing like other thin actors in my opinion. He’s handsome in his own way. Ugh when he where’s black 😩
There is something bothering me, which is Does Manman loves Wei Shao??? I know WS is totally gone down the lovers…
She does love him not from the very beginning but when she first gave him Panyi’s seal, she admitted she was sincere and gave him her heart, which to me meant she accepted her fate to be with him and to protect her family. She wanted to reconcile the Wei and Qiao family. She also stood up for him against his mother after she drugged him. She learned to know what his favorite food was, his shoe size, and took care of his daily necessities even his mom didn’t even know her own son’s shoe size. She was wary of him at first but grew to respect, be loyal and understand him. Most importantly she fell in love with him when he stood up for her and protected her during the seed case. She learned he’s not a bad guy and chose to be with him, and be the madam of the Wei family to the utmost because he loves his people and cares for them.
