There is hope in every episode of this story so far. Actually I found Blue whisper to be sad and depressing for many episodes.

From the excerpts I read somewhere there is a beheading scene with HZJ but it is her father who is being beheaded for being blind to The Xiao’s treachery. I actually like the change in the drama to PrinceXiao’s execution instead - to me it made for sense for the He family to die and executing the Xiao instead.

If you’re only at ep 1, the dude just came back from a long war. He must be exhausted like the first scout who arrived, but ofcourse our hero still looks so dashing and lethal. In some scenes, he is magnificent and debonair. I also liked him in TLB - the guy’s just so handsome

No call for her to say CSS stole LY. She was seen to be with Prince Xiao all over town. She has always been entitled and it will take her a while to change. In the novel excerpts translated to English somewhere, CSS had to exact commitment from her to treat LY better

I totally agree with you about YS. He gives good reason to CSS why LY should marry HZJ and when CSS says he should marry HZJ himself, he is all huffy and ask her to leave his carriage. Not a true gentleman at all. Very pretentious and as another viewer said, pompous. As RheaLee so aptLy said, he is as selfish as his master

I think if you understand that the story is about this girl who meets 3 men who likes her., it might go better for you when watching. It’s about her journey of how and who she will choose. The early episodes are about her background, why she is the way she is and a bit of the background of the people around her

Regardless, Zhao Jun must know now what a terribly poor and wrong choice Prince Xiao was. It caused the death of her family. Totally incorrect of her to say CSS stole LY from her. LY told his brother he wanted to break off engagement because it was known all around town that she was in Prince Xiao company and he had an argument with her about that also. Perhaps she was goaded into accepting Prince Xiao but we would never know that for sure but she was unhappy with LY’s lack of everything and Prince Xiao was all out to get an alliance with her family.

After watching Ep 20, YS continues to give me the shudders. And, LBY’s background is slowly being revealed

I like LBY the best ofcourse but like LY better than the pompous ass YS. He just gives me the shudders and his chicken feather fan…….ha ha ha…

Can’t say I like her despite of her tragic loss, but the Lou eldest aunt deserves her. SS’s mother redeemed herself somewhat in my eyes from slapping the Lou eldest aunt who is so out of control. SS and her motherare SO alike.

You are correct. The woman who died was the nanny. However, Zhao Jun was a pampered, spoilt young girl who always complained about LY and was swayed by Xiao Shizi’s attention. It was said everyone in the city know of their association and that was why LY was so angry with her and asked his brother about breaking off their engagement. Remember, she was so willful that the Lou matriarch did not want her to marry either of her 2 sons and even LY’s mother had never liked her. Yes, her strong personality would be able to protect LY better but if she and LY had not changed from their old selves, they would have been miserable.
