Very good points. Often, we forget the setting is in China where there are cultural differences and practices. I was blown away to see the interviewee needing to approve an article and now even more astounding, they can be sued without the interviewee’s approval. So different from where I am located. Also, I know a lot of people are upset with the white lies but maybe it’s traditional Chinese culture where you say something that is not true just to be polite. For example, someone comes to the house unannounced (happens often) and as a courtesy ask ( and often don’t even ask) if it’s an imposition. Clearly it is inconvenient but my parents would say ‘oh no, please come in, have you eaten?. So many would take this as a lie but this happens all the time. I seem to recall too that westerners had trouble doing business in China because their chinese counterparts would say something but mean something else just to be polite. They will not say your proposal is shitwhen it really is. Don’t know if it’s still true

Don’t forget she brought along Shi Yan’s niece as chaperone. Her mum is pressuring her to blind date and refuse to believe she has love interest and Shi Yan was not boyfriend yet. Despite all her faults, ShanShan is a true friend of Shuyi. She is sticking up for her friend and telling him how much she has suffered. Remember, she booted Guanji out of her apartment so that Sheyi can stay with her more than once. I have friends who have a lot of faults, but I am still friends with them knowing their weaknesses.

So true. If it’s that bad, stop watching and move on. People can give their their opinion why they dropped the drama at the time they dropped it but I question why they are back again after a long time to bash again when they have not even watched subsequent episodes.

No she dropped her revenge. It was her original plan. If she had kept it, she would not have let the homewrecker insult her at her senior’s weddin.g.
