Yes, it was Ep 26. Shi Yan’s driver told him it was his niece who wrecked Shuyi’s relationship with her first boyfriend and Shi Yanjumps to the conclusion that She used him for revenge. He never gave her a chance to see him to apologize or explain in person and stood her up at the aquarium. Forgetting she told him initially she got close to him (Ep 19) because of the interview which isn’t all false but she just left out the revenge part so to me, that was the only lie she told him by leaving out the revenge part. I don’t get why people said she told lies like there were many unless I forgot the many other lies?

He knew well what she was doing. He knew she was ambitious and did her job well and liked her for it. In my opinion, a woman can have love and career just like a man. She does not need to give up one for the other but need the right partner to do this. She was also helping him with the investigation into Zhanland. She is giving him as much as he brings to the table, except he is from a very wealthy family. To me, She is giving him a life, brings joy and another perspective to his life. What dates are you taking about where she used them to further her career? It’s all a blur to me now. As far as I know, they weren’t in a relationship until Ep 16 and she didn’t want to reveal that fact to others. If she was truly using him to further her career, the easiest way is to reveal they’re dating. I do want them resolve their misunderstanding and get back together as they make a cute power couple. Just that I feel she is getting too much hate when his responses are quite punishing. Does he know you don’t treat people you love like that? But maybe the need to lash out happens more than I realize.

I felt he ended it for her. She didn’t intend to end the relationship. He couldn’t take it that she was initially using him for revenge. He had assumed she was using him for his wealth and resources and was ok with that but not revenge? What terrible logic on the part of the writer or it could be that he just couldn’t accept any of the 3 possibilities when faced with reality

I agree with you. She got too much hate on her ‘deception’. Very Bad screenwriting when it wasn’t apparent she was trying to use Shi Yan for revenge until 20 Ep in and She had totally given up on her revenge as she wouldn’t reveal their relationship.

You’re not the only one. At first, I didn’t get that she pursued him for revenge either. I thought she did it to get the interview and industry scoop. But I think her attraction was not fake but she did flatter and flirt with him so it sounded fake. My take is that her initial attraction did not necessarily mean she wanted a romantic relationship with him until later. I first realized she had ulterior motives in getting to know him when she started asking SanSan if she should reveal the truth to Shi Yan

Funny, I never felt ML chased FL and was appalled at how he treated her. Compare that with how a Yang Yi interacted with her.

I agree also. I had a problem in believing how she could be attracted to a person who treats her so terribly but I began to soften when he started cooking for her and even left his conference to sit with her when she was sick. But I still think he is emotionally immature in his responses even though he has the right to be angry. His responses are very vindictive but maybe it’s the the old adage, Hell has no fury like a woman ( in this case, man) scorned.

I like this drama until Ep 27 & 28 but I am more frustrated with Shi Yan’s response than She Yi. If you truly love and care for a person, wouldn’t you first want their explanation? And how many times do you want that person to apologize and if you want it in person, why make it difficult for that person to see you. Just saying…. He had also heard her say in an earlier episode, ‘don’t listen to gossip, just ask her if he wants the truth’ or something to that effect.

You reminded me that Shu Yi says Shi Yan blows hot and cold so another reason why it’s very confusing for her.

I take it you’ve seen what happened in Ep 26. So if you have concerns re the angst to follow, wait till Ep 29 or 30 and watch all 3 or 4 episodes so you have a complete picture of what happens. Shi Yan had opportunities to meet with Shu Yi for her to apologize but didn’t. I don’t think he will accept just apologies no matter how sincere. My opinion is his pride is hurt and he wants her to grovel for a while or he is so angry he does not want to see her for a while. He says he thought she wanted his wealth and resources but she wanted revenge instead. So how is it that he can accept her as a good digger but not why she pursued him initially? They are both at fault if you want to find fault. He’s not even willing to consider that she’s given up on revenge and has fallen for him. If she was still on the revenge path, she would have told her ex and the home wrecker who her boyfriend is and not let them insult her thinking she is involved with a married man. So is her ‘deception or maybe should be called ‘ulterior motive’ for getting to know him so unforgivable when her original intent is no longer there? I think it’s not a deception to meet him for revenge. It’s a deception when he asked her her motives for being so adamant in knowing him and she didn’t tell him the truth. So even if she confessed early on her real motives, would he still be forgiving? She told him she was afraid he would react badly and he did just that. ofcourse I still think she should have told him.

And you’ll see that in her text to him, she apologized many times and ask to meet face to face and that he does not use this to axed the collaboration between his company and hers as it’s her fault. IMHO, I think it is a reasonable request no matter what Yu You says. Shu Yi and Shi Yan’s relationship is a mix or romance and work afterall annd her project involving them is at a crossroad. All 3 guys are clueless when it comes to women. That’s why their relationships are a huge mess. Lots of people apologize by letter or email these days so just because 2 males says it’s not acceptable than it’s not? If it makes you feel better, she tried seeing him and perhaps she should try harder but it’s the storyline we’re given to drag the drama out to 35 episodes. It’s also getting a bit annoying that she continues to have to do the running after him. It’s not enough for him to block her texts and remove his niece as her intern? It’s a give and take in any relationship. My rant.

He’s feeling SO sorry for himself. After reading that Shu Yi had published an interview of Yang Yi, he said he is not special to her. Being from on an ultra rich family, he does not realize a woman has to continue to work and eat. Life goes on.
