Are you talking about nsfw scenes or non-con scenes? If it's the former... please don't shame others for something…
"NC" is the Asian term for R-18, it stands for "No Children", nothing to do with non-con. That said, we have to keep in mind that these are Chinese actors who want to continue working in China. And NC scenes used to be pretty tame in BL in general until just a couple of years ago. Personally I enjoy a really well performed and scripted NC scene, but it's the chemistry that does it for me. If the chemistry isn't there, I'd rather skip those scenes. If it is there, bring it on, but also? That scene where WSW was putting on the belt for CC was hotter than many NC scenes I've seen...
pssst... bi people exist...more education needed...no, a p will not brake if you are not the one using it in that…
Being "bent" is an expression for being queer, and while there's a BL trope about "straight guys becoming bent", I choose to reinterpret that as "straight guys [being forced/awakened into] realising that they're not, in fact, straight". So it's more of a metaphor for "once you've opened that door, it can't be closed again". That bird has flown its cage. You can't *decide* to be straight or queer, so you also can't decide to *not* be queer.
Will everyone get access to the same version, or are there regional differences? Just wondering because they told…
I think they were talking about the leaked BTS clip? But yeah, it might not be good for the actors' careers in China if their nc scenes are spread around too much
Yes, he could say that he is bisexual (I am) but to me it looked more that he has issue with how he perceives…
Yup, this is what so many people don't understand. It's not about a straight man getting "bent", it's about a guy whose identity has been 100% straight up till now, and suddenly he is realising that he is possibly bisexual, and that can be a difficult process, especially growing up in a society where there are no lgbtq rights and your parents might not accept you being in a same-sex relationship. Also a patriarchal society that shames the passive party as "unmanly" (aside from pure apprehension about the mechanics of it). There's quite a bit of internalised homophobia that he needs to get over before he can commit to all this.
Did yall see the Suzume chair? Nice anime reference. Also I am all for ghostship of suo wei and Xiao shuai. I…
If you mean the actors being able to play different roles, sure. If you mean WSW and JXS, I'm not sure if I can agree with shipping them π even though they are both super cute...
Please don't promote pirate sites for this drama. It's on so many official platforms already and they need all the legitimate views they can since they rely only on us non-mainland viewers. Let's support the creators.
Gaga has improved their subs A LOT. Their subs beat YT for episode 10 by miles.
Yep, there was a great improvement already in episode 9! I'm one of those who have begged them to make better subs, so it's good to see that they listened.
Lol, they literally blocked me ππππ talk about being a little child. I was gonna say they have totally…
Yeah this sounds to me as if they're saying that gay love is just like any other love, it's all love, and if you approach it that way it becomes simple and not a problem.
It's not about that. People are upset that actors said it's "pure love" and "it doesn't matter if it's between…
I don't understand this because in the first episode one of the main characters registered for a gay dating app and the other said outright that he's gay? So what is the rumour about? AFAIK "pure love" doesn't refer to some kind of western "purity" stuff, it means love that's just for love's sake, not for secondary reasons like pleasing your parents or making babies. But I guess it could be used in several ways.
That's odd, since we know it was filmed in mainland China with mainland Chinese actors and a Chinese production...…
That's what I said, using traditional characters makes sense if it isn't going to be aired in mainland China. Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, the Chinese-speaking population in Singapore, Malaysia etc. all use traditional characters. It's like demonstrating "we're really not targeting the mainland Chinese audience, honest!"

I just checked Gaga and they list it as Singaporean (in which case it shouldn't even be listed on MDL, like The Sparkle in Your Eye, which is also Chinese but listed as Singaporean)
On Viki the drama was suddenly moved to the Taiwan category at some point. π€
That's odd, since we know it was filmed in mainland China with mainland Chinese actors and a Chinese production... maybe they partnered with a Taiwanese company? I thought that the fact that all the credits are in traditional characters was because it's not airing in mainland China (and mainland China are the only ones using simplified characters), but maybe there's another reason. Or maybe Viki just has the wrong end of the stick lol. I hope someone who knows better than me can clarify!
