I think he is the only actor among his peers (born after 00's) that is able to play mature characters with a certain authority while maintaining that "idol" charm that has been trendy among young actors those last 10 years : the maturity of a Chen Xing Xu mixed the idolish charm of a Xiao Zhan I would say.
Therefore they tend to cast him in the same type of characters with a few changes : taciturn mentor and respected older bro in AASOL, a lil bratty picky eater crown prince in Delicacy & destiny, young lord in SOT, modest pure-hearted but

So if you are not happy about it go complain to the original author of the novel Mao Ni. Lol it is like complaining about sugar being sweet = as bad as Avenue X complaining that Fan Xian is a nepo kid when he is literally the emperor and Ye Qing Mei offspring.
