A lot of the people complaining about S2 or JOL overall actually don't pay attention to the show. They are too busy nitpicking and acting snarky while finding faults about it. Here is an example up here too busy focusing on one chaeacters instead of to what characters say and their behaviour.

I keep saying this people watch JOL without really paying attention and after they complain about show "lacking".

I wished this one was 46 eps like the first season. Back in the day JOL would have lasted 80 episodes, no season needed 😅

He had a genuine strong friendship with Ye Qing Mei - one can feel the admiration. In memory of her he takes care of FX. But after living with him and experiencing life with him he grew to be proud of him and really love him as a son. That doesn't need explanation 🤷‍♂️

And to the people complaining about women not well used I mean were you blind to Fan Ruo Ruo ? Haitang Duo Duo ? The empress ? Royal princess ? Even Wan'er showed more this season with the little timescreen she had and the wedding scene looked great. Beiqi princess was funny. I hope we see a wedding scene between her and hot prince next season. The only useless female character here this season was Ling'er destroyed by hit-obsessed Jin Chen

People just watch to complain and act snarky smart overlooking a lot of the exchanges between the characters. Like the first few episodes, a lot of things were said but people were focused on nitpicking
Anyway from what I can see at BiliBili I can feel a rather positive feeling towards the show.

If I remember correctly in S1 she gifted it directly to the BeiQi grandmaster (Ku He ?) but not Xiao En. Still she said XE could learn if he wanted to but it wouldn't be much of a change for him. And Xiao En confirmed that by saying as YQM stated, when he was training no matter how hard he tried he could never progress and be as good as Haitang Sifu. Which makes me think YQM was giving that manual to the persons she knew were gifted.

Meiyang, you chinese fans I would like your point of view about S2 quality please. What do you think of it overall ?
