Enjoyed tonight's episode , there's quite a bit of comic relief - when Seo Ban admitted that he is quite a colourless character lol - when Sa Hoon uttered a part of the Lords Prayer I almost choked on my kimchi ramyun.
and also catharsis - when the doctor got all neurotic - when nam ga bin and ex had the most weighted and miserable moment together ( their relationship reminds me of Heathcliff and Catherine from Wuthering Heights ) - when the professor was done for ( esp the preview where he was left with a child but really who wants to take a bet who will end up volunteering to care for the child if it was his lovechild)
Its hard to take Ami seriously when she doesn't even take herself seriously. She's quite a joke. She's lost IQ points since the first apple chewing plane ride too.
On a slightly unrelated note, has anyone tried that moisturising balm stick they have been shamelessly plugging in this drama? ( and other dramas as well) ....the product placement is starting to work on me
Love the intrigue! Its nice that its short, keeps you wanting more.
When I was watching episode 1, I thought.."oh no, is FL rather dim-witted or is it just for initial plot purposes"....at episode 6 she is most assuredly dim. Now I know why there was such a weird tag describing the female lead.
Just finished the novel. I find the novel has more skinship than the drama. i guess coz its summer it might be dangerous to make the drama any hotter than it is . lol
This turned out really good -I'm so surprised since the synopsis almost bored me to death. Love the music here as well.
I didn't quite like the episodes where the FL mother started appearing more...feels like it breaks the tempo of the drama. Is the novel translated into english... i feel like i need to be spoiled!
Lmao, that's how I feel about Seo Ban since ep 1 lol what is all the fuss about him and the wives lol he is so…
My observation from the nuances ( which could be a figment of my imagination)
- Seo Ban likes SPY ( i swear he has positive muscular twitches when he sees SPY haha) -SPY has had it with men and isn't interested in Seo Ban as a man - SPY is shipping Seo Ban and Shi Eun and thinks Seo Ban likes Shi Eun - Seo Ban is nice to Shi Eun because....well. how can you not be nice to her.....seriously - Hye Ryung is only superficially interested in Seo Ban's package deal and probably to 'erase' her bad marital experience.
Am I the only one who feels like punching Seo Ban for his platitudes? lol some of his remarks is as good as not making any remark. If i went on a blind date with him, I'd have resorted to self-mutilation to keep awake. ( on the other hand the younger bro is really nice to look at....he's like a burst of air conditioning during summer......)
Real question: what would you do if the cheater was your daughter/son/bro/sis? Would you still throw death threats…
Am from the hate the sin but not the sinner camp even though I've been cheated on. I'm even happy that my abusive cheating ex is ( hopefully!) happily settled down. I see a pattern in the cheaters around me - deeply insecure and fearful of being alone, that insecurity drives them into an ' either you die or i die' attitude. With that I count myself blessed that I don't have that sort of fear.
Am never in a moral dilemma when people tell me that they are cheating or that our mutual relative is so I treat them exactly like how i always do. How they treat their romantic partners don't invalidate my relationship with them and I really appreciate how good they have been to me. Tbh I wouldn't really want the people in my life to be around me just because i am a good person etc. Meritocracy clouds sincerity.
I think for some couples it can be happy because happiness is a choice and state of mind. Its like how some women…
Oh , with reference to this drama, I don't see most of them being any happier than before they cheated. Not because of trust issues but just from what I see of their general disposition. The doctor is such a perfectionist that he ought to by and by realise he 'attained' a useless rabid young thing vs a composed classy wife ( if extrapolating realistically of course, what the scriptwriter does with these fictional characters is another thing altogether lol)
Sa hun.....actually Sa hun just like hot chicks so I don't see him being unhappy much as long as he is still hot enough to score some here and there. The professor will be unhappy. Of the 3 wives I fear Si Euns scars may run the deepest.
Maybe we need to let the producers know that as far as Netflix subscribers are concerned we have no qualms watching the rest of the drama as it is. Up until well yesterday I didnt even know the dude acting as Kyuhyun was called Kim Min Gwi - much less care where he stands on the moral barometer. These people are actors not priests......in fact to have misled his gf for yonks, it proves his acting chops.
I hope all the wives won't reconcile with their husband, for whatever reason. But most likely 40s husband will…
Hmm...surely not after he brought A-Mi into their marital home? He totally failed the 'separation test' big time. They've managed to write SPY as a grounded respectable character but for her to just continue a marriage with an unrepentant partner is plain bad for health. I think the highest probability of a reconciliation would be the 50s couple ( purely on grounds of how mooney Shi Eun is over the professor )
I think that people who cheat in their relationships and the ones they cheated with will never have trust with…

Its like how some women if a married man said " my wife was cheating on me, our marriage is dead, i'm planning to get a divorce" equates that remark to mean that the man is de facto no longer married so an affair is okay....not ideal...but okay.
On the other hand, there are also people who never really put trust on a pedestal anyway. What matters most is possession or companionship

Its in Chinese so if you can't read you'd need a translation tool

Hye Ryung est une garce mais ce n'est pas une salope - elle n'avait aucune relation avec d'autres hommes quand elle était mariée.
