As per my experience Chinese drama editors are very bad at editing scenes. They just chop it here and there which…
It's because you only watch modern dramas. So please don't act like you know all the genres and speak like that. Chinese dramas cinematography in historical / period costume dramas are cinema level already.
Kdramas still CAN'T beat Cdramas in historical dramas category. It's a well known fact. Historical Chinese dramas are rich in stories + beautiful costumes and sets + visually stunning cinematography + great actions, martial arts, fighting with speed and power + wonderful war scenes + rich in traditional culture + beautiful actors and actresses + beautiful hairstyle for men and women, and etc. China also has 4000 years of history and it becomes a great source for stories, costumes and sets. The romance stories in period costume genre are also deeper and beautiful, complete with intimate scenes and kisses. Sometimes it's tragic but also beautiful.
For historical dramas, Chinese drama cinematography is another level already. It's cinema worthy. They are very cinematic with visually stunning and beautiful camera works and angles. Just look at the beautiful cinematography from Love Like The Galaxy, My Journey To You, The Double, Blossom, Kill Me Love Me, Fangs of Fortune, Story Of Kunning Palace, Flourished Peony, Hard to Find, One and Only, etc and many more.
I watched both Cdramas and Kdramas in all genres, so I know what i am saying. In the other side, you only watch modern dramas. So basically, you can't judge everything based on THAT !!!
If Kdrama has been adapted from this Chinese novel then I guess they would've create masterpiece out of it by…
Chinese dramas are very GREAT in Historical period costume dramas and Fantasy period costume dramas. It's their best specialty. Cdramas are still the winner in that category.
But some chinese modern dramas are also good. It still depends on the production team in each dramas.
Also you talked about cinematography in previous post right? You judge everything based on modern dramas only which is SO WRONG. You need to watch all genres to speak something like that. How dare you judge cinematography, writings, and editing for Cdramas just from modern dramas side only? OPEN YOUR EYES AND WATCH THE HISTORICAL GENRE. YOU WILL SEE WHAT I MEANT.

I wish tencent dropped it without promotion, like dropping a sudden bomb.
Song Zu Er case hasn't cleared yet. You can't compare "normal" scandals (Angelababy) to Tax issues.
Nobody can comeback from Tax issues. Especially if they were found guilty. Song Zu Er is very ambiguous at this moment. Found guilty or not, people are too scared to release the drama.
Except the tax bureau announce that she was found clean and innocent, it's impossible for her to comeback. As far as I know, Tax bureau didn't say anything. Only her studio said something like she was found clean. But it needs confirmation from the authorities to make things work.

Also Song Zu Er was cancelled because of tax issues right? I can't say it's a soft ban.
Angelababy and Zhou Jun Wei were soft banned before and they still can release their dramas but their situation was different with "tax issues".
Everlasting Longing was released because it already had distribution license.
Idk if this drama already had distribution license or not.
