I disagree. Many period costume Cdramas have great start of first episodes. I can even write the list of historical dramas that have great start and leave deep impresion for first episodes. For example The Double, Kill Me Love Me, Blossom, Story of Kunning Palace, Love Like The Galaxy, Flourished Peony, My Journey To You, etc.
