I found it on youtube under the title My Adorable Husband, I've put it on my watchlist, idk if I'll find time to get to it...but if I do, I promise I'll try to remember to come back and write a review.
I worry a little for Kim Jae Wook, this looks to be another dark role and I know he suffered emotionally when he played Mo Tae Goo on Voice back in 2017. Because he really got into the role and had a hard time pulling himself out of that headspace. I hope he does ok during and after filming of this one, no one can deny he's magnificent in his ability to bring those characters so vividly to life...but his health remains the most important.
Amen! you hit all the key points in your comment... F everything about this drama. I still hate it so much that…
That makes sense...and I agree about the average looks. But someone is promoting him to make fans pay attention. I can't figure it out, but whatever it's their market and their decision to support and encourage him, but I'm kind of done watching him unless he's paired with someone I really really want to see their work and just have to tolerate that he's their opposite for it.

So I'm not the only one that really wonders about his continued popularity. Is he a good singer or have some other talent? Because honestly when it comes to looks he's a little above average but that's from grooming, fashion styling, and sheer force of determination to be considered attractive. He's a mediocre actor that only shines when he's paired with someone who forces him to be better. I mean I don't want to be rude or a hater, but he's just ok in my book, and honestly I don't look for him in a show or if I do see it I tend to be like...hmmm, this is maybe/maybe not going to go on my watchlist, have to see who else is in it before committing. I just continue to wonder if it's just me that thinks that or is there some quality about him that I'm missing out on that is the reason for why he's so popular.
I don't know how the ranks work on that site, because it looks like the majority voted 3 or less stars and it…
Thanks! That seems like a good, fair, and more localized ranking score...rather than a global or only english speaking rank. Each is important for different reasons, but if you're looking to see who is popular and what show is doing good in your local country or market, Douban is the go-to for China and the Asia Regions, I think?
Looks like as soon as he could he stopped acting as this was something his father pushed him into :( I hope he is able to have a more normal life and do what he wants. Thanks for the memories and the shows.
I wish MDL chose a better picture of Landy Li, she's super adorable but that specific haircut wasn't around long and isn't best for her face shape. Maybe it's just me?
4.4 in Doubanhttps://movie.douban.com/subject/35352387/
I don't know how the ranks work on that site, because it looks like the majority voted 3 or less stars and it only got 2 stars overall, but somehow the ranking is 4.4 is that 4.4 out of 10?
0/10 for 30 episodes of toxicity and spousal abuse.Hate finished this. FL swings wildly from idiot to super intuitive,…
Amen! you hit all the key points in your comment... F everything about this drama. I still hate it so much that I come back every month or so to make sure it's not suddenly getting a "magically" good ranking caused by blind fans just clicking 10/10 we love you oppa.😂 if you know what I mean.
An amazing show and I'm sorry I didn't give a try earlier. I was vaguely familiar with some scenes in the first few episodes so I must have seen clips when it first aired but for some reason never put it on my watchlist. Now I have to say this is one of my favorites. It really brings all the emotions out and the ML actor (Niu JunFeng)did a fantastic job, this was a dream role for him to highlight his range. Landy Li is just starting out, but I have to say that only 3 of her main role dramas appealed to my viewing tastes but so far I have liked her acting in each and every one of them...this one and The Starry Love are my two favorites, but Dreaming Back to the Qing Dynasty is pretty up there too!
FL's acting is flat & wooden, while ML's acting is so melo, coupled with that horrible tacky OST which instantly…
It probably has a high rating for the time it was produced, there aren't a lot of 2000's dramas that have subtitles available and are complete online, so those that are usually have a strong fanbase already and people who watch it multiple times, those are the types that would come and rate it. If it's not someone's cup of tea and they stumbled on it on youtube or another site, they'd probably drop it after an episode but wouldn't bother to come to MDL and rate it.
Youtube has a 2 hour movie version now, I believe the 40 episodes are split into a 2 part and each part is two hours? They uploaded the first part today, look for Tencent to have the second part most likely in a few days https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RakZ-auY6Xc English subs are embedded in the video
That was my thought too. I think a new drama in the same genre of Remembrance of Things Past, but I don't feel…
I just finished Remembrance Of Things Past so was like I should see if there's a second season, got excited to see a sequel and then read the summary and was like, hmmm...doesn't have a release date yet and also doesn't sound like its the same group of friends. But idc, I still want to see another one like that, if it's done by the same writer or director...they did such an amazing job on ROTP even if it was a bit heavy.
Its been a long time since I last watched this one, but I think they sort of do...it's like a happy ending wedged into the last 30 seconds of the show, kind of open to your interpretation? She comes back to the modern era and I believe eventually meets his reincarnation? I might be wrong though, so don't quote me on that.
I‘m a bit confused as to how this is the sequel to ROTP when Ren Su Xi plays a different character and the rest…
That was my thought too. I think a new drama in the same genre of Remembrance of Things Past, but I don't feel that it's connected to it or those characters in any way. This looks to be another slice of life drama, but new characters and 99% new actors. It actually sounds interesting, but I do not see it as a sequel.
I hope he is able to have a more normal life and do what he wants. Thanks for the memories and the shows.
