I'm with you...tired of it irl too, at least in the drama let us have some satisfaction and get the power to drag the real bad ones down into hell, hypocrisy is the worst trait.

makes sense though, they had to cut I think over 10 hours worth of plot out of the series to make it fit into the 40 ep limi :( I agree though, would have liked that in the final version

lol, too true Kate. Only a few seem to use critical thinking skills in this show and unfortunately they are the ones that end up getting killed off before they can reveal the truth.

I keep wondering when they are going to reveal that, maybe soon because there isn't a whole lot of room left in the remaining time.

Right, the only one who feels bad about that guy getting killed is his dad who was playing blind to his son's excesses and evils. ugh!!

Neo is such a hotty, been looking forward to his next project. Though I think Back from The Brink won't be on the same level as TTEOTM, I still think it will entertaining and definitely worth some attention from us :)

I knew that Di Mian was up to no good, but everyone trusted him way too easily. Tbf though he did spend 10,000 years coming up with a believable story...but still, ARGH!!!!

I really enjoyed my second time through this series. One of my favorite parts is when you really are about to give up on the SFL, she pulls a bit of wool over the viewers eyes and instantly becomes adorable. It does take a bit of angst to get there first though, but overall the way her character was written was a refreshing change from the other vindictive and vicious SFLs out there

I have to wonder if it has a flavor, hopefully not unpleasant since they have to hold it in their mouths for a period of time before spitting it out

I find myself usually staying away from the discussions to avoid spoilers and make myself wait for either the last two or even sometimes the last 4 to be released on a particularly good series, then I set aside time to watch them all in one sitting, maybe take a breather half way through...but Idk if I can do that with this series, I'm too invested!

ahhh, so they don't just have the characters spitting blood, the writers want to make the viewers chew nails and spit blood too! It's going to be a frustrating but interesting few episodes!!

I'm with you, before TTEOTM came out LBFAD washed away a lot of bad xianxia from my memories because it was just that good...it had a fun and exciting new world building style and I really enjoyed it. I did feel the ending could have been better, it felt like they went the safe route on LBFAD, but other than that it really was one of my favorite more recent xianxia. I liked Dylan Wang's acting, but maybe I'm just not a nuanced enough viewer to notice anything wrong with it?

TTEOTM is amazing and I don't think it needs to be compared to anything because it's doing a fantastic job of drawing us in and delivering every single episode. Also I'm a HUGE fan of the leads in this series, so I only compare them to other works they've done, that's the only fair way to assess their skills...and I think they've always been great but they do just keep getting better and better. you can tell they've given it all they have,

omg, you have stumbled onto some of their best works! Both LYX and BL are amazing actors on top of being in some of the best dramas out there, they are really good friends IRL and I think it shows because their on set and on camera chemistry is always the best. Enjoy this drama and I hope you get a chance to watch more of their works!
