Of course we know that somehow he does get persuaded because of the demon wedding we know happens, but at the same time...TTJ can be a demon without becoming the vessel of the resurrected Demon God, I think that's the loophole in this. TTJ has the potential to become almost but not quite what DG was looking for and that will ruin all of DG's obliteration plans!

This drama is endless tears I swear, but thank goodness every once in awhile we get some breathing room, a little light hearted moment here and there in between the inevitable angst we know is coming.

I agree, especially if DG is trying to imply that TTJ has no free will and it's all destined to happen, why would DG spend YEARS of time and energy into constantly reminding TTJ that he isn't loved, he's pathetic, and alone ect. DG is always creeping into TTJ's subconscious and his dreams trying to basically persuade him to come to the dark side, DG wouldn't waste any energy doing that if he didn't need TTJ's consent to take over the body/soul of the demon fetus...as long as TTJ holds firm, DG can't take over.

when he held the two dolls and the entire audience watching at home goes..."now push the dolls faces together and make them kiss", and he actually DID! 😂😂😂 I laughed so hard

So the big secret was that he had a crush on her back when they were like 8 and she came to help him when she thought ML was a little girl being bullied. They weren't close obviously cause he never told her that he was a boy with long hair and not a girl, but somehow that one moment when she came to his rescue made him fall in love with her and instantly recognize her in the adult version when they randomly run into each other? That part made zero sense.

I kept trying to figure out WHY and HOW the ML supposedly fell madly in love with FL enough to come to her rescue a dozen times, buy a company to protect her, and buy her old family's house that was about to be taken over by her evil ex boyfriend. He also kept insisting that she had to agree to become his wife, acted like it was for some bizarre reason other than love, like he was all 50 shades of seduction using his money to "buy" her when in reality it was that he was in love with her for 12 years apparently even though he hadn't seen her since then?

I've seen a lot better short format mini dramas, but I've also seen a LOT worse ones. This sort of made sense except for the big "secret" of the ML, I'll put my thoughts about that in the spoiler comment below.

I came for Eleanor Lee cause I love her style of comedy...but saw the rest of the cast and I'm fully on board! Can't wait!

Do we have a date that Tencent is going to release this or at least start promoting it?

This drama is a comedic gem! I love it! The FL has a very active imagination and the fictional scenarios that she has running through her mind must have been an absolute hoot for the actors to be in. I can't imagine signing up for a drama about high school and also getting to be in super overly dramatic battle scenes and fake dramatic deaths left and right because the school bell didn't ring on time 😂😂😂 The writing and the editing along with the acting just makes this drama super interesting. Totally worth it, the 18 ep fly past!

Also don't expect kisses/skinship all that over the age romance, this is puppy love. In China people can't get married until 22 and so most romances aren't encouraged before that age, even high school/college sweethearts ect. Remember that their high schools and colleges are aged differently than in the West.

I have to say my version of a BE would be that both mains survive but can't be together for some stupid and unbelievable reason, they just have to be in different realms and never be able to be together, ie he has to go to the demon realm and she has to go to the heavenly realm to restart it after it's been deserted for 10k years.
So then they are permanently separated and just pine after each other for eternity, that wouldn't make sense and would tick me off almost more than them dying.

I can accept a necessary death or two of characters at the right time and for good reasons, but please not those two...they've been through sooooo much, practically 3 lifetimes of suffering can they please have peace and happiness at the end?

I think we're getting to the point where we have to finally talk about the differences between HE, SE, and BE....because a Sad Ending can still be incredible but a Bad Ending that makes no logical sense can destroy all the previous work or at least take a series from a 10 to a 7 in a heartbeat of screentime.
So with all that said...are we still anticipating a SE or do you hold out hope for a HE?

I'm with you, I refuse to believe DG has THAT much control over every moment of TTJ's lives and every interaction ect. He may have foreseen it and be twisting that outcome to spin it as all being under his control, but I think that TTJ and SS's destiny together will be the determining factor on if this is free will or not.

I looked everywhere but looks like it's only available on iqiyi currently and you have to pay to watch it. :/ It used to be on a free site but that site got taken down for copyright issues.

I think they're editing it so instead of it being time travel it will be she falls into a novel...for some reason the censors are super sensitive to time travel because they really honestly believe people would *want* to change the current government to one like the feudal times, which ffs is ridiculous but they seriously think people will get "nostalgic" for the romanticized version of feudal China that is 1% truth and 99% fiction. smh

I wonder if they'll edit this down as 50 episodes puts it over the 40 limit plus let's be honest...50 episodes seems like a lot based on just the limited synopsis.

I haven't seen any update on this one, not sure if they'll release it or not :(

I got about half way and dropped it as the series just couldn't keep me interested enough to waste more hours to finish out their stories. :/ Pretty disappointed because it took me a long time to find it with english subs and then couldn't stay in the zone after I started watching

I've been waiting for this one!
