No this was a newish drama I think it was released sometime around 2018-2021, it had multiple different english translated titles, I don't remember the chinese characters for it unfortunately and I don't remember the lead actor, or I'd look up their work and narrow it down that way.
I don't think I've seen Wei Zhe Ming in historical garb before, he actually looks really good with the hair and clothes styled that way. I'm pleasantly surprised! Looking forward to this being released someday soon.
I hope Zhi Xin's character will be different from a cold ceo, I've seen him in a few roles of the cold man and he's gonna end up locked into that role only. This man can seriously emote and act like nobodies business, I'd love to see him explore more roles, highlight his talents, and spread his wings!
It's an interesting movie, but considering that it's a female only sect I think the elders and the master did their disciples a severe diservice for never teaching them about men, their motivations, or their seduction techniques. It's like shooting fish in a barrel when the bad guy shows up, only one person is slightly wary of him at first and the rest are like...he seems nice and I'll believe everything he says without questioning it. smh. That part about the elders and the master never teaching their youngsters really doesn't make any sense, they themselves had real world experience before they went into seclusion...so it's not like they don't have bad personal anecdotes to share about bad men in the world in general, ie robbing, beatings, bullying, rape, coercion ect. Why would they teach the disciples the sword skills and not teach them why they would need to use them?
I'm watching that scene right now and yes it's Tang Lin's brother who signed the cooperation between the two companies and tried to merge his smaller company via marriage with the bigger company. He's now the CEO, but it doesn't mean he owns the company...just that he is the person in charge of making decisions.
That and the fact that he can kiss like he means it...wowza!
Sorry I have 6 more episodes to go before I find out, but I assume ML is the direct descendant of the owner of the stock. Then again FL had the stamp that controlled 40% of the stock, so technically she could be the biggest stock owner (idk how that flies in their legal system though)
The fact that the ML falls in love with the FL who looks exactly like his (deceased) sister is kinda weird ngl…
I'm with you on the falling in love with a person who looks like his dead sister was pretty weird. I get how and why logically it's supposed to not be weird, but still. lol I just closed my logic portion for that part and went full steam ahead.
I love some of them and others for whatever reason fail to rope me in, but this one in particular has a LOT of my favorite actors so I've got it on the watchlist for sure!!
This so weird, I watched a c-drama not that long ago (it is not Truth or Dare) that had the same title as this drama...but it was made a few years ago and kind of sort of had a similar storyline, about swapping brides by accident in a historical c-drama. Of course I can't for the life of me remember the alternative title because it had this as a title as well as like 3 other titles. :/
