I saw some comments about how SCC would be dragged more if she was a man and if the role was reversed. 😂😂😂 Except TQ's character as a FL would be absolutely destroyed on C-platforms already. A physically weak FL who is so "love-brained" and kept on falling for men, chasing after them, showing up at their houses, investigating. calling their friends? A FL who is sobbing away for a man she barely knew for a month?
FL!TQ would be ripped apart. TQ as a man works because he subverts the typical ML trope. He is physical weaker, more of the "emotional lover" than a typical cold ML, able to self-reflect, etc.
Plus, the role reversal won't ever work because the start of this is a reunion scene and how often will a ML wear make-up and gets called ugly by a FL? Men also don't have the same type of beauty standard growing up either compared to women so the impact will never be the same.
This drama/plot worked because SCC is SCC and TQ is TQ. There is no "But what if..." because then this plot will no longer even be the same.
