When does this finish airing?
With express, it is ending tomorrow as they are dropping the remaining episodes at one go (in around 9 hours).

Cool!Oh, I found low on YouTube! He has a channel and he uploaded the FILTER video!I also need to find that one…
His Filter video on Bilibili has over 1 million views already. It has definitely reached people who never heard of it before. 👏 I think he might do another one once it ends because the one he did was only up to when 16 episodes aired.

58kg is not the actress's actual weight. The weight is just set as 58kg for the character SCC (who has more muscles…
It is because there are just not a lot of C-actresses who are around that weight. Majority of the C-actresses unless they are like 175+ cm weight under 110 lbs. In addition, not many will be willing to act the role of SCC for a variety of reasons.

It might be cultural difference but in China, the expectation a lot of the younger girls have for themselves is to be less than 100 lbs. Li Landi (the actress herself) playing SCC has been nitpicked for her body shape and when she was actually around the 110+ lbs range, she was dragged to filth, so beauty standard there is harsh especially with the actors/actresses who does romance genre dramas.

It is also about perception. Sometimes we find "imperfections" with our bodies that other people think is fine because of the type of things we heard growing up. SCC has an older sister who is taller and slimmer, so she has been compared to her all her life.

If you have ever checked out Chinese social media, you will see quickly the type of body shape/leg shape/arm shape, etc. that is considered to be ideal with beauty blogger posts.

Any idea why so many attacks on this particular drama? Is it because of the unique plot or merely because it’s…
It is just the general expectation of these idol romance dramas now where the MLs have to be around 180+ cm (it is also why some of them lie about their heights). They have to use these types of visual differences to showcase "chemistry" especially when the main leads can't really act. It is to make up for it. But like this drama shows, height really don't matter, it is the acting. No one cares if you act well.

It is also ranked #1 on the piracy drama website LMAOOOO.
Yeah, that's the norm for casual viewers who don't care for stats. 😂 Raising heat index is also about how much $$$ you are willing to spend. Plus, these platforms sometimes "swallow" heat or slow down the heat in order to get fans to be more desperate and spend more $ to increase the heat index. It is business at the end of the day.

Yeah, this drama does have a lot more older people watching compared to the typical audience of an idol drama. It is also why heat index is also harder to push because they got work the next day (and most don't know you have to watch the OP/ED of each episode to "count" for heat, other rules for heat index) and need to go to sleep lol.

Not that younger people don't go to sleep but they are usually more willing to stay up and comment, drop gifts, etc. in order to increase heat.

in ep 2 she weight herself 58kg no way she’s that big. I mean it’s a normal size in Europe but she’s definitely…
58kg is not the actress's actual weight. The weight is just set as 58kg for the character SCC (who has more muscles since she is an athlete) plus to showcase that weight being normal. C-dramas (idol romance genre) sometimes have a bad habit of showcasing super thinness as being the norm. That women should be XX weight because it is "prettier" and for the men to be able to carry her + showcase the height/size difference between FLs and MLs.

This drama is all about trying to break those beauty standards and normalizing things that are actually average/normal in real life.

YouTube probably has auto subtitles, but they are not great, but I feel like at least people would be able to understand their excitement about this drama.🙌

She asked that only after he said: "OK, it ends here". It is logical question since he is her boss and she is…
Yeah, plus there is a power dynamic to it too, she is still his employee. Imagine your boss falling for every single version of you while your boss treats the actual you with a cold but later more neutral attitude (until later on). On one hand, it is to hide the secret but, on another hand, how awkward is it for your boss to find out that it was just /you/ (who you thought still didn't care about you) at the end of the day.

Even when they had that kiss, she kept on saying, "please don't be mad at me". From TQ's POV, the kiss wasn't about work but for SCC, it was tied to work, her guilt, and her own hidden feelings for him. TQ tends to sort his feelings out a lot more easily while SCC has a lot more complication with her feelings due to what happened at the reunion, her seeing how he is with her filters/different attitude towards herself, and her own upbringing.

This drama basically:

SCC: Would you still love me if I was a worm?
TQ: Yes

the "magic trick" 🤣 as if she couldnt just sneak into the kitchen 🤣
Totally but it makes for such a fun scene. 😂 The parents believing it too. 😭 Ngl the parents/grandparents in this drama are very cute. They just believe what their kids say from the alpaca talking to the chicken magic trick.

The audacity to ask "You won't fire me, right? " after all that she did :°°° THAT GIRL HAS NO SHAME OR EMPATHY…
It is because she doesn't think she has any relationship with him but work. SCC is very work-focused, and she has chosen to prioritize her work over any romantic relationship especially after the reunion. When she made that comment, it was her own way to try to lighten things up. She thought they are okay now but her only form of communication with TQ as SCC is work so she can really only talk about work. They are not even friends at this point from her POV.

Remember, she still thinks TQ thinks she is ugly at this point and has separated herself so far from those transformations that she thinks TQ liking them has nothing to do with liking her. It is also why her expression changed when she saw TQ seemed teary. She doesn't get it yet.

Some C-viewers were like SCC could have sat under the table so TQ can feed her like a dog and others were like "Hello?? This is a romance drama" 😭

Episode 19 is when he starts suspecting but he saw signs beforehand. Episode 21 is him doing a full on-investigation…
Yeah, he was upset/sad but then his logic brain kicked in and remembered the moments where she really cared for him. There is this joke in C-side that he took only like half an episode/one afternoon to comfort himself LMAOOOO.

C-side has noticed a long time ago that I-fans tend to like the dramas they really dislike lol. I think I-fans…
Unfortunately. 🥲 Once the liuliang/traffic star phase started, they took up a lot more investment because investors know they can make a return/profit from the fans. Then you have the scriptwriters + directors slacking because they know the fans will eat it up anyway. Or even when there is a good script, the traffic stars with huge egos demand changes to increase their own "highlight" moments or screentime while not bothering to better their acting. Just look at the constant fighting over first billing. 💀 Then you have the fans lowkey dragging the drama/blaming everyone else but will fight non-fans who drag the drama. Finally, you also have investors who invested in certain liuliang/traffic stars so will pressure changes to the scripts, etc. There is no care for the craft. It is also why so many C-netz started leaning into K-drama because they didn't think C-industry can be at the same level (though K-dramas got their own issues now too).

There are definitely still good C-dramas being put out but without promo, they can get hidden sometimes especially if the genre is not a popular one. But as long as non-fans give them a chance, they can still become known and appreciated.
