Future predictions:
- Qingtong finds Fugui. (I need them to be together. Srry Rumu and Fox prince, but she is charming.)
- The umbrella that absorbs hate will be found. It will work by depriving those who draw their hate power of their hate power, while imbuing hate power into the user, which would normally instantly corrupt them but not self-purifying Fugui, so Fugui can use it as a rechargeable battery against hate-fueled enemies and then not only use the power (going amazing and blond) but purify himself after with his blood, thus guaranteeing he can follow his Way and have cool blond hair without being evil. (I do not want evil Fugui ;-;)
-Fugui will get some more screentime, I'll be satisfied with point 3, be nice to me writers, pls.

I don't think they will; they've done a pretty good job at averting such tropes so far.

I think she will gain the power of Love from the Love & Sorrows Tree, which will be equal and counter to the power of the hate tree (her powers will be more the more love there is, as long as her heart stays untainted by hatred) and she will finally gain the strength to protect what she wants to protect herself. I think the purity of her heart (even at the start, it was she who reached out to save the human first because she cares for other beings) will mean she triumphs over the white-haired version of herself and won't need saving.

(For me, I'm actually not totally sure it won't be a HE thought. I thought for sure starting it'd be SE b/c CY is the lead, but the opening's upbeat, and they usually tend to mirror how the ending will be in tone. And despite the multitudinous number of CYs who've died tragically, of all CY's characters, there's been none who died when they wanted to live.

All were either "I just want to finish this one thing then I'll be able to face my dead bros/family in the afterlife" or "My life and happiness is nothing as compared with the safety and happiness of the world" and did finish that thing and then died, or else they were like Sifeng wanting to live and they did live. As long as Fugui holds onto that motto of "I'll see the green mountains and the vast deserts and the snowy peaks with you, my person, by my side, with whom I am content and without whom I have a restless longing I have no name for b/c we must consult the Celestial Master for terminology not related to fighting" I have hope that will indeed happen.)

I miss Qingtong and Fugui together, but I do like that she’s getting a development arc that parallels his, and he hers.

Fugui always had fighting skills but now he being forced to rely on himself is developing social skills and cooking skills and making a living skills. (And deadpan snarking skills.) She always had social skills, but now she’s being forced to rely on herself for fighting skills.

They are both going to be a beautiful match when they reunite, likely at the head of a bunch of allies they each pick up along the way, and I think his flames should be able to purge her grief tree of any evil even if she does plant one, and given he briefly turned into a dragon in the 1000 swords scene and said the dragon power knows no race, maybe she will be an immortal protector of a love tree and he will be an immortal black dragon ever able to purge any black fox hate while they both live a happy life together, I can dream lol.

For now this is my happy ending, and I want happy endings for Rumu and apprentice Foxy too 😭🥺

From my position of zero knowledge and my head firmly in the sand, totally not a tragic ending. (aka I’ve got no idea but i’m so attached to everyone, I am hoping like heck for a HE 😂)

In terms of HE, SE, technically the latter. It’s not sad for me because they strived for what they wanted to achieve with maximum effort so they die with no regrets, but it’s bittersweet and half the cast does wind up dead over the show. (CY’s three characters all die, though one of them is technically open ended.)

In terms of S&B or this, imo, this.

It is in the books, but kind of like if you gave someone an exercise manual and then as a footnote it said “buy this great new fitness pill on Amazon”; what is bad for her constitution is the daily exercise thing, but the footnote is not the daily meditation technique. (was how I read it.)

Ahh, in this case I’m not sure. If bro said you get frozen and can’t leave if you fail this test it could be that Tushan just kills would be people if it looks like that may happen? But I think Black Fox’s release is predetermined by that prophecy, so at some point she will get out, and it will be the slash issued by someone who does it, so I back her getting some superpowers to help deal with the inevitable mess 😭😭
