Great review! I wanted to watch this movie when I saw the trailer on netflix specifically because of those scenes that were addressing the viewer. Glad to know there are more of them! They were pretty creepy.
I am also glad to read that it was generally good, because I didn't know what to think about it. Most horror movies seem repetitive and boring nowadays.

It happens all the time. Some people rate a series before they watch it or after watching a few episodes. Don't get affected and give it a try. It will take at least a week for the rating to stabilize.

I advise you to keep an eye out for its release. In my country it will probably be available during fall, so if you want to watch it in theaters you may have to wait a bit.

There are many series that were great without romance though, like Beyond Evil, Voice, Save me etc and others that the romance was unnecessary like The devil judge. I don't feel like there will be romance in this one taking into consideration the plot and even if there is I hope there is a reason for it and it is not there just to be there, because that doesn't turn out well most of the times.

I don't disagree that they are good when it comes to romance, but many times it feels like they put a romantic story in a series just for the sake of it and it is just plain unnecessary.

I get that. It definitely depends on the POV. For me kids are the victims in these types of situations and her son had it pretty rough.

Plus her making all that scene on purpose to make her husband beat her and then the son witnessing that was pretty fucked up. No sane mother would like her kid to see her that way.

I get he could be pretty irritating at times though, especially since us, as viewers, knew the whole story.

To be honest, I am not giving up unless there is a scandal with one of the actors. There are dramas that aired years later, but still did, so I will keep my hopes up until I see it on screen.
