Pretty sure this is only for Chinese productions airing in China. Wetv has series from different countries on its platform including bl series (that are uncensored and obviously not from China and they are also not available in China to watch, because of the restrictions).
In this case there was probably some type of problem with the contracts that we will never really find out about.

Frankly I doubt that is the actual truth. It's probably just an excuse and like you said just their statements. I have personally only seen the first announcement about the series being released on wetv and nothing more than that. The production company owns the series and they can "sell" it to whoever they want, with contracts etc.

It's not like "take the series and do whatever you want with it", unless there is a huge amount of money involved, which again makes no sense. Who would pay so much and not make it available? There are money involved and the more people the more money. Besides WeTv knows very well that bl series have a huge audience, so if they really said that, then that's just the most idiotic excuse I have ever heard. After all they are the ones that made We Best Love.

So probably there was another issue that we will never find out or they have some other plans for it.
Or the problem is financial. According to a YouTuber there are financial problems in both iqiyi and tencent and they will reduce their productions by a lot. So maybe they had no agreement in that department.

Who knows? It is a pity though, because it was highly anticipated. About this one, it's on the coming soon section for ages now, so I am hoping it will actually come out soon.

I wanted to watch My Ride too, but yeah no subs. I am pretty sure something happened during negotiations with that one. It is not produced from WeTv so probably there was a fall out with GMM25 regarding the international release at the last moment. It is a pity, but it is certainly not only WeTvs fault.
I don't think this one will have any problems, especially since another Yang Mi drama got released without any problems a couple of months ago. I am pretty sure there will be subs for this one, but I understand that you don't want to have high expectations. I am anticipating it too. I hope we will find out about the release date soon!

Even though I really want to watch this drama, at the same time my expectations about it are low, especially after I saw that still cut. The webtoon is fantastic, but it mostly relies on the unique artwork that can't really make it into the series. However, I like the actors, the original source is definitely very good and I am super glad it is only six episodes, because the webtoon is very short, so I am hoping that they have somehow pulled it off.

I better be reincarnated as a person in my next life, because I don't know if I will get to watch immortality in this one.

I see that you are mentioning some thai series. Well if they don't have the rights to broadcast the series internationally, then it is natural that it doesn't have subs.
Anyhow, this is very highly anticipated series with a star studded cast, so there is no possibility of it having no subs. That would be a huge loss of money for them and they wouldn't do that.

It will raise if it continues to be good. The majority probably hasn't even rated it yet.
