Title Flower of Evil Spoiler
I didn't find it that good either, but it was an entertaining watch and I am glad I watched it while it was airing,…
I get it. Still too sci-fi for my taste, but I get why many people enjoyed it. That's my hope too. Since they made sweet home, bastard has a chance, but even if they make it, they should be really careful picking the cast.

Title Flower of Evil Spoiler
I didn't find it that good either, but it was an entertaining watch and I am glad I watched it while it was airing,…
My problem with these kind of series (same goes with Trap) is the fact that the villain story is based mostly on the fact that they are psychopaths. Even though from the episodes I watched it was liked they tried to say that ''not all psychopaths are bad'', the story was still mainly based on that (serial killer psychopath, test about testing psychopaths), which is not only something that has been done lots of times (Trap, Mouse, Voice, Defendant, Strangers from hell), but most of the times they are based on ''science'' and they end up using the term psychopath that is not even scientific. Yeah, the marketing was a true failure. I am not a fan of sci-fi things in general, so since it was being advertised as something else, I started watching it having something specific in mind. I didn't mind the whole psychopathic test, but the brain transplant was plain ridiculous. What I am mostly looking for, is a story with a villain, that his bad deeds are not based on the fact that he is a 'psychopath' or on the fact that he is having a mental disorder.
It is a pity really. I enjoyed the first episodes way too much, but then I felt like the series lost its charm. However, I admit that Mouse was quite daring in a lot of aspects. Besides making the ML the killer, there was a lot of violence that usually is not there in Kdramas. I think it will be the beginning for other series like that. If those kind of scripts end up being a netflix original even better. I still have some hope that Netflix will make Bastard into a series someday (hope it will come true).
I personally enjoyed it a lot. I was also watching it while airing so that may be one of the reasons. Also back in 2019 I hadn't watched many series in that genre so I was quite pleased (I don't know how I would feel now). It had a pretty dark vibe, that I personally enjoy in series. Yeah, the ending though is like the biggest disaster ever, so have that in mind if you ever start it. I think it deserves the chance. Frankly you will understand if it is your type of series or not just from the first episode.

I dropped mouse on episode 10. Frankly, besides the fact that I found it draggy after the 6th episode, it was closest to sci-fi (a tag that was added later), even though it was advertised as a crime/thriller series. I loved the first few episodes, but having LSG as the main lead, I saw the ''plot twist'' from a mile away. For me the closest is Trap (besides that god awful finale).

it's gonna be on viki for international fans!! So happy lolAlthough if you have your vpn on thailand VIU should…
You are welcome. The subs are made from volunteers, subscription or not. That's why they were late. Volunteers do both the subtitling and the segmenting and they have access to the episode only when viki uploads it, so it's natural!

Title Hot Stove League Spoiler
1. Right from the start, Mr. Kwon, the club owner, knows that Mr. Baek usually leads his team to championship…
It's been ages since I watched it, so take into consideration that I may not remember correctly. The plan from the beginning was for the team to disband in the end. I don't remember exactly the politics, but the disbandment would financially benefit the owner of the club and the people that had important roles in the administration. I don't remember if they showed how his baby died. It might have been a miscarriage or an accident. No matter the case, when a parent loses a child his psychological state is very complicated. Like when their kid gets seriously sick, parents tend to hate themselves and blaming themselves for their kids sickness. It's not a simply "they should have stayed together" or a "they can have another baby". A baby is not a bag. You can't just replace it with another one. When a kid dies it breaks or unites the family even more. From what I remember it was obvious that they separated, after they mutually decided to do so. Divorce is pretty common for people that have lost their child for multiple reasons. It's a very hard thing to handle, so sometimes even the parents can't handle seeing one another. Sometimes they are even reminded of their child even more that way and it is harder to move on. Of course it depends on the couple and their decisions. Everyone deals with grief in their own manner. You can't decide how another person will deal with it, especially when it comes to the death of a child that is one of the toughest (if not the toughest) for a family to deal with. The best decision is always the one that benefits both of the parents that stay behind and sometimes the best thing is to separate.

Love affairs, secret relationship, infidelity, birth secret, greedy rich people, power struggle, murder mystery,…
I am also wondering how this drama has gotten zero attention, considering the cast and the plot. However to be fair first two episodes and especially the first one are not that good. They are beyond confusing and also long and I personally felt no suspense while watching them. I agree that it gets better. There is something that makes me want to keep watching. At the same time, even if technically this series has a lot to offer (great acting, directing, cinematography, ost, decent plot) there is something still missing for me. I don't know what it is, but yeah it deserves more attention.

There is only 6 episodes. I wish they was more espoides.
I think they are just fine. The webtoon isn't long, so 6 episodes are enough to cover it.

The writer killed the female leads and kept the Bromance alive and that's what is important from all of this LOL
Maybe you should cover this as a spoiler

Thank you so much, I'm glad we share similar views. It's perplexing indeed how imbalanced the characters are,…
Haven't seen it either, but I have heard good things about it. Let's hope for the best and I wish that his third script will be even better.

I loved reading your review. The way that you express yourself is immaculate and I agree with everything. I particularly liked the way you described Ga On's and Soo Hyun's characters. I truly can't understand how the writer that created such complex and intriguing characters as Yo Han and Sun Ah, also created such flat characters like Ga On and Soo Hyun.

Title The Devil Judge Spoiler
Now that it's finished, can someone tell me whether Elijah, Yohan, and Ga On have like a happy, little family…
I kind of disagree with the other comment. The ending is quite happy for me. Yes Yo Han and Elijah leave and Ga On stays behind, but this is their choice. Ga On has a mission of making the society a better place and Yo Han has finally the freedom to be happy. They are content with their choices. Besides it seems like they may reunite.

Title Beyond Evil Spoiler
Could someone compare this drama with Devil judge? I love the relationship between Gaon and Yohan
Besides the bromance that is also more intense in Beyond evil those two series have nothing else in common. The devil judge is more plot driven, while beyond evil is character driven. Beyond evil is much darker. Both series have a good cast, but Shin Ha Kyun was just pure perfection in his role. Both series have good osts. Beyond evil is way better written than the devil judge and obviously more realistic since it is a mystery/psychological thriller, while the devil judge takes place in a dystopia. Even though both Ga On and Han Ju Won may seem similar at first, since they are convinced that the main lead is guilty, that is were the similarity ends. Han Ju Won is a quite clever character, comparing to Ga On who is basically stupid af. Also Beyond evil is a slow paced series, while the devil judge isn't. Overall Beyond evil for me is a masterpiece and the best series of the ones I have seen this year (and one of my favs), but it depends on your taste and what you are looking for. It is definitely not for everyone.

You should keep checking until the first episode gets released. Sometimes it takes a while before viki buys the rights for multiple countries. For example when the second season of penthouse was airing the show wasn't available in my region and to other countries too, but about a day or two before the first episode it became available, so keep an eye on it!

Title Flower of Evil Spoiler
I can't believe this is one of the highest rated shows on mydramalist. didn't impress me at all and it was quite…
I didn't find it that good either, but it was an entertaining watch and I am glad I watched it while it was airing, because for me it is not binge worthy. However to be fair, it was a pretty solid series. Most dramas in this genre are complete disasters. This one had great acting, great directing, nice OST and the plot was quite solid with no loopholes (or at least loopholes that can easily be noticed). I wanted something darker too, like the ML really being the killer, but the show in general was good. Even though he wasn't the killer his character was quite well written and it really did play with the viewers emotions, since it was not obvious if he really was the bad guy or not. I liked how they portrayed that he kind of didn't have feeling and even though he may have been feeling something towards the end (with all the crying and such), he didn't know himself what it was, and it was certainly different from most human beings. I am still waiting for a drama where the protagonist is a pure villain. That would be very interesting to watch. All in all, I don't think it deserves an 9.1 in MDL but for it's genre is one of the best I have seen.
