How good is this?

Maybe because of the hype around zombies in recent korean productions. I feel like they are trying to much to make the monsters in Sweet Home like zombies too, even though they aren't.

You are right, but it stayed only a bit at 8.9 (for just a few hours) and then it dropped by 1 which was weird imo. However, the rating is slowly getting higher. This will also change if people get to finish it (for better of for worse).

That would be great! I was actually thinking that if they ever adapted their webtoons into a series they would start with bastard since it is more popular and it is easier to adapt. I hope they get to do that someday, and as you said, stay faithful to the original source.

I understand and I agree with what you are saying. Many things are very different and some epic scenes should be way better than what they actually are. Even though I also can't help but compare it to the webtoon I am also trying to judge it as objectively as possible. Till now it is not bad, but it is not very good either. They could handle many things very differently to convey, as you said, what the creator of the webtoon wanted. On the other hand he said that he wanted the adaptation to have differences with the original source. I really do hope it gets better because I was highly anticipating it and the plot has a lot of potential.

Well it will change depending on the peoples opinion. Alice in borderland had a 7.9 and now it has an 8.2. We will see. Let's not forget that many people will compare it to the webtoon and that they also probably rated before finishing it.

I agree. I am currently reading the webtoon and even though I am not really satisfied with what is going on (especially with the characters introduction) I am trying to keep an open mind and not compare it too much. The second episode was better that the first so I only hope that it gets better.

2nd episode was better so I am trying to watch it without comparing even though it is very difficult.

Maybe it will have a season two. I just finished the 2nd episode and it seems that there a a lot of differences comparing to the webtoon. However it was better than the first and I am trying to keep an open mind and not compare it too much. Maybe it is better for the people that haven't read the webtoon (I am currently reading it)

I understand what you mean. Even though the second part was completely different since it wasn't just separate games I liked it. The only thing I didn't enjoy was, as you said, Kento's acting. I expected a lot from him, but it felt like he was overacting. Maybe if the rest of the cast did the same it wouldn't be bothering me. However everyone's acting was so natural expect his. Nevertheless I really enjoyed the series and it has a lot of potential.

Probably. Netflix just needs to announce it. The manga is quite long so it may take more than one season to be completed. All we have to do is wait for an official announcement.

I like survival series so I will probably give it a chance. Thank you!

I don't think there is a source, but it is a Netflix original series so it will be released all at once like the rest of them. (The japanese series Alice in borderland got released all at once a week ago)
