This was a pretty typical movie, a solid 8/10 for me, nice acting. The one thing that did surprise me is hidden…
The ending. Movies like this tend to end in a typical way - either the perpetrator gets killed by the ghost/the boyfriend, especially when the movie is Thai - they're all about redemption/justice. So, that the perp stayed alive and didn't get caught, was very surprising for me. I think I gave like 2 points of the rating just for that.
Late comment, but that's very common. I find mydramalist comments tend to be more accurate maybe a bit critical…
7 days is not late, sometimes I get notifications that someone commented on my comment 7 years later. :D
And yes, when people are aware that the makers of a series may see their comments, they are certainly nicer. But the few eps of this I watched on YT were from a random uploader, not the official source.
9/10, here's my personal opinion for anyone confused by the score:
- The series was so very short, that the plotless-ness didn't bother me at all. In fact, I was glad that what little time we had, they solely focused on the relationships. - Music, what music? Can't have been bad if I don't remember it at all. - Colors and other visuals were nice, paid no attention to editing, which usually means it can't have been too jarring if it didn't bother me. - Acting was nice. Nothing super cringey and lines, even emotional ones, were delivered fine. - I expected no depth. I wanted something short and sweet and cute, so all my expectations were met.
Ps. It certainly didn't hurt that a. I found each and every actor handsome, and b. I have a thing for long-haired men. :D
If this is turned into bromance, I will decline to watch it. Not because I refuse to watch het dramas or because I'm not interested in the storyline, but it feels like a complete cop-out and they spent the first season getting me invested in a romantic relationship. (Just like with any other drama, bl or not, if in the 1st season there were hints of romance and an actual kiss, I would not watch season 2 if it was turned into friendship. It's like a betrayal to my brain.)
- Beautiful scenery/colours - Eyecandy+Actual kiss (well, a typical one for Korean dramas, but at least not a fake one lol) - The fact that I actually DO want to see another season of this - I usually don't, even if the story is unfinished in some ways.
Missing 1 point is for: - If there won't be another season, the story is unfinished - Had the series been longer, the unique concept could have been really used better - Some choppy editing/transitions
I really liked this movie. If one hasn't watched many movies in this genre that are made in a certain way, they'll certainly be surprised at a few points. I liked the acting, the atmosphere, the plot, a complete package for me.
The contrast between Mydramalist and Youtube comments is very interesting, Here, I see that it is almost completely focused on all the negative things, while on Youtube, people were commenting about the positive things. I don't mind either, since I am the self-nominated Master Of Skipping Scenes, so I don't have much of an opinion either way. Personal opinion on the drama; cute, too drawn-out, actors did well, editing is choppy but the colors and sets are lovely. My only actual problem, and a warning: DO NOT WATCH THIS WHEN YOU ARE HUNGRY. (I only had noodles in my cupboard while watching and oh, how sad that made me lol.)
This was short but sweet. Can't expect too much content from 30 minutes or so, but what it did have, was interesting. (And... butts. So that was nice as well lol.)
I have many grievances about this one, but it's not worth it to air them at all.
Only one thing I want to say: Tin's brother, Tul? I hate him. I literally hate a character, which is weird, and I surprised even myself with how much I loathe him. :D
Acting? Not awesome, but passable. Plot? Had the makings of a nice one, but pretty average. Scenery, music, filming etc.? Certainly not horrible since I didn't pay any attention to it.
And after that bit that sounded like I didn't like this? Still rated it 8.5, for the fact that I was entertained. By the premise, and where it went, and I am an expert at ignoring plotholes etc. so everything was fine for me.
Want something deep and serious, with a big budget and seasoned actors? Don't watch this. Want something quite fluffy and easy-going, or simply want to throw your brains away and enjoy some simple-minded cuteness? Watch this.
I'm glad I randomly saw a fanvideo of this on Youtube before reading anything here; I watched this cute, short series in one sitting today and have absolutely no regrets.
Is it silly? Sure. Are most dramas pretty much silly when you think about it? Yeah. It's not like a go to a sweet and fluffy series to look for realism, nope, I watch them as a form of escapism.
So if you're simply looking to be entertained, can ignore some plot-holes and like good chemistry between the main couple and some nice kisses thrown in, you'll like this one.
I tried to find at least a little interesting thriller/horror movie (anything but "a group of teenagers go into an abandoned house" bleuggghh) and this was quite a good watch. 8.5/10 for me.
So, that the perp stayed alive and didn't get caught, was very surprising for me. I think I gave like 2 points of the rating just for that.
The one thing that did surprise me is hidden by the spoiler. (Don't look if you haven't seen it, it spoils the movie.)

Seriously, Asian dramas have traumatized crosswalks for me - I see one in a drama and I cringe in fearful anticipation.
This f****r made me cry. That doesn't happen often. :'D
