Yeah, so much buzz about how his acting in here is off and not as great. Maybe they shouldn't have aired this right after LYF 2 BUT I think he's doing great in here. He's a totally different character in here, so the comparisons are unfair. Any character compared to Cang Xuan is going to be dull. Hahah.
I love CXZ's response to his brother when asked why he wants to marry for love and no longer political convenience: people change! Hahah so honest and simple.
So I watched episode 21 and I am thinking about the ending of the episode and trying to put things together. I…
They're really good with word play and metaphors in here. The crab roe rice is amnesia LMT's symbol of love for CJ. When CXZ asks her for some, she says it's out of season meaning like them, there's no more love. Her sewing depicts their story in seasons also where leaves and flowers can never meet.
I think the vase will tell him that not only has she regained all her memories and is Lu Wen, BUT she has been hiding the fugitives right under his nose, in his territory, sort of making him a fool. How she told him what's there to be afraid of when they're under Lord Huaiyang's protection when ironically it's because of that that no one has been able to find the baddies.
i was teary eyed in that scene with his mom. that storyline came out of nowhere and is even removed from the current…
Yup, talk about impact. The writers have built CXZ so well that even a story where we have absolutely no background story or scenes of in the drama was so powerful!
Rewatching LMT's convo with her uncle, the uncle KNOWS she's softhearted because she loves CXZ. It's like he was encouraging her to just give up the bandit life, marry him, and live happily, something she deserves. It almost feels as if she's self-sabotaging herself because she feels she's not clean enough for him? It makes her feel ridiculous because she's done so much, can she truly be loved by such a good man? It almost feels unreal. Like she told CJ earlier, I forgot what she said exactly but along the lines of they were so happy in their carefree identities that it's scary thinking it may end. I think after experiencing such a turbulent and heartless life for the last three years, that trauma is preventing LMT from embracing CXZ. But just a little push and she'll melt. 😂😂
I think ZWY has gooood chemistry with WCR too!
